I've been into scripting for 5 months and I'm a professional scripter...
You must have bad memory.
Scripting is all about remembering functions , events , etc.
You can easily learn it if you put some hard work and brain into it.

| Do you guys know of any good scripting tutorials for Roblox? I am not completely new. I understand many of the basics, but when I look up things on the Roblox wiki, I start to get confused. |

"Scripting is all about remembering functions , events , etc. "
Sorry--this makes me cringe.
That's not how you learn any programming language. You should learn it like an actual language--you don't just remember things.
I started out like that and I always made the same things--I just remembered the exact line of code to change WalkSpeed.
You actually learn it so you can tell the interpreter EXACTLY what you want to do whenever you see fit. That isn't just memorizing the code.

I'm a hot person as you can tell from my primary group. And I don't even know how to script so you're wrong on both levels. |

I've been exposed to computers since around the age of five, so naturally one who has had a fascination with computing for over ten years would eventually lead to wanting to learn how computers work.
I'm not exactly a skilled scripter, per se, but I've been blessed with the opportunity to take a 3-year informatics/computer science course throughout high school where I'll learn around 5-10 coding languages and develop many sites, games, and apps.
Simultaneously, I'll probably apply my knowledge to help me learn LUA and develop on ROBLOX.

I don't use Lua very much but this is my story:
When I was 7 I built a little bit on ROBLOX and tried some of Lua but didn't understand much. I got the very basics like changing colors of bricks, walkspeed, transparency, etc.
About 2 years ago (I can't believe it's been so long!!!) I started back on building and after a few months of it, I finally understood that I was just really bad at it. I remembered that maybe scripting would be easier for me then. So I started on it. With the help of many nice people on Scripters subforum, I got very good.
I soon got bored with it and used the Codecademy lessons on Python, HTML, PHP, JAVASCRIPT, and a few more things. I found Python to be my favorite and after many months of trying to make a website and other projects, I started focusing on Python.
Since then, I learned some Java, C++, and R. I'm not an "expert" in anything except for Python but I know the syntax of most other popular languages well enough to make things, although I still need my good friend Google to help me with them.
I've been learning more Python each day now.
I hope that didn't bore anyone to death. |

| Also to clear it up, I didn't learn much from Codecademy. It was just the place that got me interested in Python, along with CodeCombat. |
