I have a friend who literally wants to make a game, tiny maps, constant fighting, and instead of knowing your actual ammo it has bullet readouts. He wants to use characters that have too many shapes for classic ROBLOX fans, and too little shapes for halo fans. Quite literally it's just a mess because everything would be in between ROBLOX and Halo, not quite right for either side, and he would attract a rather small player base.
tl;dr friend wants to make a game that doesn't fit the roblox 'feel' or the halo 'feel', unwilling to budge an inch. what do i do |

| @Orc and you assume that nobody is going to like it, as if there's a set universal standard for game preference. |

@Storm Yea, I'm pretty upset, aren't I? Maybe you should listen to one of my ideas.
@F18 No, I'm just saying we need to target a larger player base. |

| @Orc guess what: it's not your project. Just like you feel he should accept your ideas, you need to do the same |

| @Data Orc seemed to have left out the fact that he yells at anyone who disagrees, and then ends up kicking them from TC for not immediately agreeing with him. |

@F18
Your full of crap. I gave up several customers (worth E150) to help him, my own projects, etc. And he won't budge a tiny bit. I was coding the entire framework for him, and took several weeks on it.
You're just a butthurt fanboy because you lost your programming lapdog when you refused to change a tiny detail. I don't care if it's not my project, if I'm helping you we are equal and if by god you don't see it that way then I am double done. |

You have a skewed idea of what people appreciate graphics-wise, as if meeting halfway between a ROBLOX and Halo feel would dissatisfy both playerbases You also assume that both Halo and ROBLOX players are interested in the games solely because of graphics.
Where's your sense of originality?

@Orc if by "equal" you mean you get to shout at others for having a different opinion.
and I should know since you did it to me for stating the simple fact that my railgun worked with your aim script disabled. |

Oh shut this cringy thread down already,
@Orc: You're tunnel-visioning a small problem when there are other things to consider. It's not as simple as you believe it to be
@F18: If your game idea is literally just "Halo for ROBLOX" it'd better be identical if not better than Halo or I see little reason why it would succeed over games like HEX.

last post until I'm caught up.
@Soy it's not my project. storm_xst is making a spinoff of Halo, which he's calling "Ark", so it's supposed to be similar but not identical. |

@Soy It's not just that. They won't listen to any of my ideas.
@F18 Because you stated it worked for twenty minutes straight. Clear belligerence- changing the arm's C0 does nothing to the click detector. |

*sigh* one last post
@Orc the arm suggestion was before I showed you the railgun, and it was so then the arms would work normally. As for the railgun itself, I told you to test it while the script was disabled completely, and yet you insisted it was my model that was the problem, despite it working on another server, and the fact that it worked once the script was disabled. |

Despite the fact that you're stupid because the arm's C0 has nothing to do with a ClickDetector, and it did not work either way for my PC. |

| @Orc the base scripting for Roblox only enables use of mouse funcions when use of an arm is not pre-occupied, which is why you can't use click detectors when you're holding a tool. And FYI, calling me stupid is a fallacy called "ad hominem" (attacking the opponent rather than their argument) which automatically weakens your point, by enforcing the idea that you need to throw in an insult to be taken seriously. And if the problem was my railgun, then explain why it worked perfectly on my server, but not on yours without a single scripting or model change. |

Oh dear I hope you are trolling. A: a tool was not equipped. B: my script did not occupy the mouse, it only read from the properties. C: it didn't work either way. |

| @Orc and yet, you still can't explain how it worked on one server but not another when I didn't make a single change. The only factor that differed between my game and yours was the presence of your script. It's simple logic, really. |

Oh really? Because the player's arm position has anything to do with his mouse, and the fact that enabling/disabling did nothing. It's simple logic really, you're trying to defend your terrible ego. I now understand Flux perfectly when he says that, because really, we all do the same at one point or another. |
