You can barely see far on max graphics. I run the game at a great framerate and a longer render distance wouldn't affect me at all. ROBLOX is become a bigger and bigger game developing platform and its time we get an upgrade. I would really love to see this implemented because I can't make giant game worlds and see the whole map at the same time. Tell me what you think. |

you're ignoring the fact that 70% of people who were able to run roblox at graphics level 8-10 would no longer be able to do that, and most players dont have powerful enough computers to have a render distance that is even on graphics level 1

"And most players dont have powerful enough computers to have a render distance that is even on graphics level 1"
Bs.
We could ask to make us choose the render range, the developer should know the consequences of a too large render range, if not then he'll keep it standard.
Another idea is allowing only specific things to be visible to the player at infinite or custom range, this would probably be with scripting. For example if i you want to render a giant space dinosaur robot that is really far away, it's a model in this case.

Support but
Make it so render distance is another slider, rather go 2 graphics 10 render than 10 graphics for both |

@hydra "We could ask to make us choose the render range" and what if a kid sets it to maximum without knowing it will fry computer and make roblox run at 0.3 FPS?

I think you should have a slider for graphics bit you can also change to advanced where you have sliders for: Texture quality Mesh detail (Not sure if it's possible) Neon and Lighting: Shadows should also get an upgrade and neon would have a on/off switch for glow. And lastly, RENDER DISTANCE.
Back to the render distance talk, the fact that some computers can't run it isn't an argument. The argument is about who CAN run it. We know we have the power t run it so we want it implemented. Also, XBOX ONE ROBLOX! It's the XBOX One! You play just cause 3, Grand theft auto 5 and more high graphics games on it.
COME ON ROBLOX!!!! |

I don't really care for ROBLOXs graphics. Even though; I have mine on 10. I don't really see the issue, I mean draw distance is a nice feature when it comes to the 'video games' topic. But, you don't need BIG & HUGE games. We COULD keep it simple. However, we are in the 'New Age' of gaming. With games that are breaking the boundary of entertainment. ROBLOX could amp up the graphics a tad. That is just my opinion
- I am open to criticisms too. |
