Note: please post if you have advice on what i should do next, but other than that i just wrote this here for entertainment and because i have nothing better to do. also it highlights how laughably rebellious i am, and this whole story probably isn't something i should be bragging about either, but oh well. Also, this is a pretty long story. Don't say I didn't warn you.
so my dad for some reason is largely against internet privacy. he started when i tried deleting norton off my computer because it's worthless, but then he got upset because he got it for "free" and then installed norton family onto my computer without me noticing. I thought this was a joke at first because norton family IS a joke. getting rid of it was as simple as one by one deleting all of the DLL files in the norton family folder in a way that doesn't make the program prevent me from doing so. anyways, i got that taken care of and then did the same thing for norton itself, but i screwed something up and everything was glitching out. i somehow managed to get to a point where i could restore my compute back a few days, and when i did, thankfully norton didn't reappear so i just deleted the rest of it.
A few days later, my dad found out and told me if he could "see my computer" for a few minutes. i stupidly agreed to let him do it and when i got back on it he had microsoft family safety put on it. I tried everything but it seemed like there was no good way to get rid of it. He even took the admin off my user account and added his own account. I was kind of in a rut at this point, and I decided to innocently ask him to give me my admin privileges back as long as I don't delete his user account. So I got my admin privileges back, aaand the first thing I did was delete his account, and make a new user account that didn't have family safety on it. Even since this incident, I have put myself into the habit of locking the computer whenever I need to leave to go do something, even if it's as simple as going to the bathroom, in fear that he may try to put some stupid child lock onto it again.
His next idea was to put a timer on to the WiFi. Unfortunately even today I can't really do much about this, although I have come up with a few ways to get around this, both by using the small amount of (extremely slow) complimentary xfinity wifi aswell as simply buying way more online games and looking less into online ones. In addition, I downloaded a video player so I could watch youtube videos offline.
After this, he stopped for a while, until more recently, when he also put a tim3r (why did you filter this, roblox) onto the wifi. This basically prevented me from going to certain sites but wasn't too much of a problem because I already installed a V.PN provider which included nearly 100 or so freely available V.PNs I just used this when I needed to go to blocked sites, and all was well for a while.
Just a few days ago, though, he tried something else which I have no idea how this worked. I'm not even sure what really happened. But every VPN I had stopped working, and that pretty much seemed like the end. Then i got another idea. Since every VPN and proxy site I could possibly think of was blocked, I got the idea of using that one archiving site as a proxy which worked pretty much perfectly, until I realized that I should just be using chrome extension VPNs, which I kind of wish I thought about a long time ago. Unfortunately, not even all chrome VPNs worked, and i didn't find a good one until my second or third try, but eventually I found a working and somewhat fast one which i can use until my dad finds out how to block it.

dear op depending on how your life is depends on how you should treat this. if its your computer, not a family computer and he is doing all these things randomly, you should face him as a person. tell him he should stop doing the things he does. if someone has a kid they wont do any harm to them otherwise they dont love you

@LG
that won't work my dad always gets incredibly heated even when i try to discuss this in a non confrontational way, it just makes him super uncomfortable and very rarely tells me when he changes something or adds another stupid child lock

@super
for a while, i just used cell service instead of wifi, but he said i was using up all of the data, even though my sister admitted that it was her, and thus he disabled my cell service until a few days into the school year. thankfully i can use cell service now though which is nice.
