Hi, my name is Power, me and a group of people for the past few months have been working on making a Lost Planet game here on Roblox. At the moment we pretty much have most of the things built so far that would be needed for the Demo we've been working on for the game, and right now it's primarily scripting and animating that we need to be done.
ANIMATION INFORMATION. We'd prefer you to be able to work with both player models and custom models(custom models being things such as robot suits, aliens, that sort of thing). You also need to provide some examples of things you've animated in the past.
INFO FOR SCRIPTERS. We'd prefer any scripters that sign up to have experience with any of these things below. 1:GUIs. 2:Gun making. 3:Making working armor. 4:Creating working vehicles. 5:Creating AI for enemies or friendlies. 6:Creating shops. And like the animators are required above, you need to provide examples of what things you've scripted in the past.
We'd also like anyone who signs up to have at least a basic knowledge of Lost Planet and it's world, or at least be able to google things.
ISSUES ON PAYMENT. Since I do not have BC nor a regular source of Robux I can make no promise of payment. IF the game ends up being successful enough to earn a profit, after all the money that is needed to be put back into the game is used(so sound design, advertising, that sort of thing), then any extra profits earned will be going to the pre-existing team and whoever may join from this thread. I myself will take no profits from this game.
https://www.roblox.com/games/364706522/Showcase . If you would like to see some of the models already built for this game, you can come to my showcase. All the models for the game that I built are on one side of the showcase. There's also a teleporter to a several month old copy of a previous version of this game made back in very early development. Just ignore that. |

@LightFantom. Haha.
@Jelly. I have no idea if by DMing you mean Dungeon Mastering, or Direct messaging, in which case I have never at any point done that to you. |

Oh yay, another thread of mine that seems like it's just going to end up being hijacked by spammers spouting off nonsense. Seems we're well on our way there. |

This is why you're not getting good responses. If someone is gonna work for you they would expect immediate payment for their work. Profit won't cut it and will likely mean that they end up with nothing in the end. There's nothing stopping you from running with the money anyways.
If you want this game to be made, I'd recommend saving up, buying ROBUX or BC, and paying developers beforehand. |

"IF the game ends up being successful enough to earn a profit, after all the money that is needed to be put back into the game is used(so sound design, advertising, that sort of thing)"
If the game was successful then it wouldn't need any profit being put into it. Because it is fully finished.
"then any extra profits earned will be going to the pre-existing team and whoever may join from this thread. I myself will take no profits from this game."
Extra profits going to the people that made the game profit in the first place is bs, and you not taking any profits from the game you made us build for YOU is bs aswell. Case closed.
Stop DMing me

@Storm. The payment thing hasn't really been an issue for the most part. I already have about 11 people working on the project, builders, scripters, and the like. They're all pretty good and are perfectly fine with working for the chance of profit. And I like to think I've built up a nice enough air of sincerity around myself. It's kinda hard to think that the girl who builds guns for people at the measly cost of free would be greedy enough to go around robbing people.
And the game being made so far doesn't really need BC, as mentioned previously almost every build needed for the game is finished, and it's essentially just some mapworking, scripting, and animating that's needed. Then we can release a Demo we're sure people would enjoy, and we could potentially earn a profit from said Demo.
The point is, the kind of people that make money a problem aren't the kind of people we want on the team. And we're doing just fine enough without them. |

@Jelly. "If the game was successful then it wouldn't need any profit being put into it. Because it is fully finished.". You're misunderstanding my words there, that's perfectly understandable, since I'm not always very clear with my words.
"Extra profits going to the people that made the game profit in the first place is bs, and you not taking any profits from the game you made us build for YOU is bs aswell. Case closed.". You have no way whatsoever of knowing if it's BS, and any claim otherwise is nothing more than an assumption about a random stranger you've had no previous interactions with online. |

@Jelly. Also, they are not "building the game for me". They are working as a team with me to create a game. I'm completely honest when I say that so far I've done the vast majority of builds for this game, so claiming that I made other people build this for me isn't a very proper claim. |

Money is not the problem, it is the fact that you are telling us that, hours of work can go to waste for nothing in return, not even the satisfaction of feeling as if the game you created was indeed successful.

@Jelly. Remember, they aren't the only ones who would be upset that hours of progress were wasted. I've spent a bit over a year and a half on this project, and I didn't even get other people working with me until about 7 or 8 months ago. The amount of work I've put into this is an incredibly large amount, and not only do I have all of the things I worked on to lose, but also I would have to deal with the guilt of having wasted everyone's time for nothing.
I want this to succeed so much more than anyone else on the team does.
But the point is, they know just as much as I do that there's a large change nothing will be gained from this, and the people already on the team are fully accepting of it. |

| Okay, so if you've got so much work done where is the full game? You should at least open it to show people if you're trying to recruit. |

@Storm. We did have a previous Beta map, but we've abandoned that in a new much simpler focus. The current map is pretty barebones terrain right now, so we're adding decoration to that, and the map itself is completely impassable without the Anchor system that's still needing to be scripted(essentially a short range grappling hook). And the work done(at least what I myself have done), is already included in my showcase. And again, we need scripting and animating, scripting especially before the game can be finished. Until then, we aren't releasing the game. Because the building is what is primarily finished, not the game itself. |
