| They aren't, but I think they did it so well in the beginning they deserve a mention. After there 4th album they just made sad Indie Rock which was also great. Then they made poppy indie rock with Plans. Then they made another emo album sorta but no one talks about it. Then they went totally indie rock with there last two albums. But I think the first 3 albums were just so good, when talking about emo it should be talked about. |

No offense, but I don't consider Weezer emo. While Pinkerton has some very dark elements I think it's still alt rock.
Pale was a simple man who liked good music and advanced literature and writing symphonies. One dawn morning in the day he was out painting the ocean that was visible outside his penthouse on the cliffs of Maine, when he heard the doorbell ring. |

@wesbes
when it comes to music, david has no idea what he's talking about
the only actual "emo" on this list is American Football |

| No Pinkerton has emo pop elements. And Finn again you tell me not too post on your threads and you post on mine. Stop trying too mess with my head. But yeah although it's still Weezer and has all the weezer elements, it has more punk elements and more emo elements then the other ones, and I think the blend of power pop, emo pop, and alternative on this album are just beautiful and deserves a seat at all tables. Something About Airplanes is also debatable, but again I think it does Indie Rock, Emo, and alternative so well it deserves a seat at all tables. American Football is totally emo, and does it phenomenally...and I want too add "Whenever If Ever" by The World Is A Beautiful Place And I Am No Longer Afraid Too Die. |

Whatever genre we define Pinkerton as, one thing's definitive: it's a master piece.
Blue album and Pinkerton were Rivers' magnum opus.

| I couldn't agree with you more. I am a sad emo snowflake so I like Pinkerton more but I find both albums incredibly important pop rock albums. |
