FOR WHAT IS FILTERED: pastebin (dot) com /UxMU2r7L
Those who know me around the league have known that I have been working on multiple formulae to find out the "rating points" and "skill" of a player. This formula, however, is the one I've been working the longest. Initially derived from my first unit, TPPR, which represents the amount of time on ice required for one point, I worked tirelessly to find a way to incorporate +/- into this formula. When discovering a way to incorporate +/-, I then began to work to incorporate seeding- or the way to determine the quality of the players one was playing with. A secondary formulae is an activity formulae, determining how much skill a player would bring to a team.
These are the rough drafts of these formulae.
FORMULAE 1: CLASS PLAYER RATING POINTS
1000/(TOI/p) + 1.25(+/-) + (s)(spr) = rp
Where: TOI = Time on Ice(minutes) p = Points +/- = Plus/Minus s = seed spr = seed point ratio(SEE BELOW) rp = rating points
SEED POINT RATIOS COLUMN(SUBSTITUTE FOR SPR DEPENDING ON SEED[S]) - THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR HHCL CONFERENCE CALCULATIONS OR PGHL
SEED # FACTOR TO MULTIPLY BY 1 2.00 2 1.92 3 1.84 4 1.76 5 1.68 6 1.60 7 1.52 8 1.44 9 1.36 10 1.28 11 1.20 12 1.12 13 1.06 14 1.00
SEED POINT RATIOS COLUMN(SUBSTITUTE FOR SPR DEPENDING ON SEED[S]) - THIS WILL ONLY WORK FOR HHCL LEAGUE CALCULATIONS
SEED # FACTOR TO MULTIPLY BY 1 2.45 2 2.40 3 2.35 4 2.30 5 2.25 6 2.20 7 2.15 8 2.10 9 2.05 10 2.00 11 1.95 12 1.90 13 1.85 14 1.80 15 1.75 16 1.70 17 1.65 18 1.60 19 1.55 #########################################################################################################################25 1.25 26 1.20 27 1.15 28 1.10 IF REQUIRED 29 1.05 30 1.00
So, let's put the formula into action. Let us take Fosmanx from last season and put his figures into this.
##########################################################################################################################################################################################################################################################1000/(489/94) + 1.25(+31) + (7)(1.52) 1000/5.2021276596 + 32.25 + 10.64 192.22903885+32.25+10.64 224.47903885+10.64 235.11903885 235
I would clock in at 235 rating points. Where did I lose most of my points? Why, it was my horrible TPPR- I took 5.2 minutes to get one point.
But that is not the only formulae I've devised. I also added a way to incorporate activity, so the rating the player would have based on activity- the worth he would bring to the team.
FORMULAE 2: ACTIVITY PLAYER WORTH
(1000/[TOI/p] + 1.25[+/-] + [s][spr])(gp/sgp) = arp
Where: TOI = Time on Ice(minutes) p = Points +/- = Plus/Minus s = seed spr = seed point ratio(SEE ABOVE) rp = rating points sgp = season games possible gp = games played arp = activity rating points
So, let's plug in Fosmanx's numbers again.
(1000/[TOI/p] + 1.25[+/-] + [s][spr])(gp/sgp) (1000/[344/154] + 1.25[+124] + [1][2])(48/57) #################################################################################################################509.19951043 509
Fosmanx would clock in at 509 activity rating points based on his performance and activity last season.
Now, my numbers.
(1000/[TOI/p] + 1.25[+/-] + [s][spr])(gp/sgp) (1000/[489/94] + 1.25[+31] + [7][1.52])(47/57) ###################################################################################################################################################### would clock in at 194 activity rating points based on my performance and activity last season.
If you've made it this far, I'm surprised. Thanks for reading. |

| I mean the point of sharing the formula is that you can do it yourself, aura |

@wist
A proper cricket formula would be:
120/BPB=ABPI
That's the average boundary per innings in a t20 match. A batsman is not able to be deducted from a wicket, unfortunately. It's okay, you tried. |

However, if you added runs and added it by innings dismissed, you would get a formula of R/I. That is batting average- a formula well known among cricket circles. Therefore, to derive a new cricket unit, we would have to incorporate a batting average to get to rating points. So, for T20 cricket, it would be R/I*120/BPB, and Odi cricket R/I*120/BPB.

this is my last season one :d. surprised that my +/- was so high lol.
1000/(TOI/p) + 1.25(+/-) + (s)(spr) = rp 1000/(31976/80) + 1.25(19) + (9*1.36) = rp 1000/339.7 + 23.75 + 12.24 = rp 2.94377... + 35.99 = rp 38.93 = rp
there probably should be a few other things such as shooting percentage, hits, and PIM tbh, and probably a separate formula for defenders that gives bonus points for +/- and hits.

| You miscalculated, death, you put TOI in seconds when it should be in minutes. |
