I spent all day yesterday trying to figure out how to weld a suit of armor to a player and I finally did it but there are issues and this is why I am asking for some insight.
I take the armor and weld it to each limb (including the hat) and on my body it looks perfect but on different bodies the armor doesn't enclose their body. How do I account for this as I have played other games and the armor always works on everyone the same.
What I originally thought to do was destroy their limbs and replace with my armor but that had amusing results to say the least, lol.
Anyone know how to get this done?
Thank you. |

Can you be more descriptive? How doesn't it enclose their body?

| I can ### ##### ##### their legs, their arms as if I need to grow the armor but doing a scale job isn't the answer as I tried that. I have a nephew who helps me test and on his body the legs, and arms, could be seen as well as the armor as if the armor was a tumor trying to engulf his limbs while on my body it is a perfect fit. |

| Have you tried just changing the players package? |

| This is custom armor or is there a way to make a package out of the parts and handles? |

Does your nephew have blocky limbs?

| Nope. ############################## (he changes his appearance hourly it seems, lol, but his body shape is always the same). I just tried ClearCharacterAppearance() and that makes a purely blocky character and even when I weld my armor on that the mesh of the blocky sticks way out and I can barely see my armor. |

| Comeon Roblox stop the nonsense and allow us to post the stuff people need to be able to help others (like me). Grrrrrrrrrr. Talk about a most unfriendly company. How can anyone help someone without visuals? |

| ####### #### / ####### . ### Nothing unusual but, as I said, when I made my char a noob with that command I could barely see my armor. |

LOL, as you see even doing the link like that you get it blocked. I am rather angry at Roblox right now.
I guess there is no way for me to show you but he is just a normal character. |

| As you can see there is nothing special so it must be a scaling issue as the armor must scale with the character apparently. |

That doesn't make sense though. If the armor isn't mesh, but rather a model or union, and you're not purposefully trying to change its size, it should go right over the limb without a problem if the positioning is correct. What script are you using?

Is there some magical threshold for post count because I just tried to post my code above and the filter zapped it. So, I tried it again without the code and it zapped some other parts of the message.
I am frustrated now and need to understand why I can't even post some code to get help. Was no dirty words or anything just regular Lua code.

Yup. Sometimes the filter just picks someone to bully more than others completely at random. When that happens I just put everything on pastebin and link that in lieu of writing it directly on this awful forum.

I tried to report them to them but that didn't work.
