Here we go guys, another week down, a new set of rankings is coming out. This is my first as the new commissioner, so I hope you guys go easy on me. Starting next week, all the rankings will be done by a College Football Ranking Committee. Also, I'm not sure what Mallard had planned, but for the College Football Playoffs, the two bowls will be the Rose Bowl and the Sugar Bowl this season. Also, only the top 5 teams will be officially ranked, the rest will go unranked. Anyway here we go.

-{The Top Two}-

#1 Alabama (6-0)

The roll tide steamrolled to 6-0 this week with a solid victory over Clemson. With just three weeks left in the season, it looks like the Roll Tide, might roll their way to be undefeated and clinch the #1 seed in the playoffs. Of course, a lot of things can happen between now and the final week, but so far, Alabama has been unstoppable.

#2 LSU (3-2)

LSU has the #2 spot in my rankings not because of an impressive victory, but because they had a bye week. LSU is tied with two other teams for the second best record (3-2). The other 3-2 teams either lost this week, or just climbed up to 3-2, because of that, I cannot drop them for not having a chance to compete this week. LSU is a playoff contender, and if they can finish these next few weeks strong, they should be able to get there.

-{On the Edge}-

#3 Kansas State (3-2)

Although it was a close one this week, against a less than mediocre team, Kansas state got a win this week against Ohio State 22-20. It defiantly was not pretty, but a win is a win. KSU has a great HC in FinalsFantasy, and they look to be a playoff contender, however, making it there will be a challenge. In the next 3 weeks, they face #2 LSU, #5 Clemson, and finish with #1 Alabama. Thats a tough way to finish a season, and it will be interesting to see how Kansas State holds up against adversity.

#4 UCLA (3-2)

UCLA is the only team in the top four teams to have lost this week. They came in this week against a new and unproven ASU team they were expected to beat. They ended up losing in a 25-0 shutout. The offense, periodically lead by different QBs, was virtually non-existant, giving up 3 INTs, one a pick six. The only good thing I saw from UCLA that game was their defense was able to get a few stops in and hold the ASU offense, but as much as defense matters, teams need to score to win. That didn't happen. I expect UCLA to bounce back next week, as they play Miami, but they should be on alert after that devastating loss.

-{At the Threshold}-

#5 Clemson (3-3)

Clemson got whacked this week by #1 ranked Alabama. The loss isn't too serious, but as of right now they are not in the playoffs. Clemson can easily get back into the top 4, but they need to get some crucial wins in. Next week is their bye week, so they have a full week to practice. After that, they've got #3 KSU and Ohio State to finish out the season. If Clemson can finish strong, they just might make it into the top 4 and earn themselves a playoff berth. I imagine this team to either completely flop in the final stretch, or come up clutch.

Arizona State (3-3)

Arizona State came into this week as the team in turmoil after getting a new head coach. They ended up upsetting #4 UCLA in blowout fashion. However, I cannot give them a ranking. The win was controversial, will multiple ASU players getting ejected, and claims of alternate accounts being used. With that being taken into consideration, plus the realization that ASU is still a new and unproven squad, they fall just shy of being ranked. However, they have a shot to prove themselves, as they take on #1 Alabama next week. If they can upset the Crimson Tide, expect them to move up into playoff contention.

-{The Longshots}-

Miami (2-3)

I know it's not really fair to give Miami a hard time considering they had a bye week, but at the same time, they are 2-3. They have more losses than they have wins at this point. If Miami wants to go to the playoffs, which I am sure they do, they are going to need some big wins down the stretch, and at least get to .500 to have a real chance at anything. Although it's unlikely, anything can happen, and they should not be counted out just yet.

Ohio State (0-6)

The winless Ohio State Buckeyes really are a sad story. Their playoff chances are pretty much over. Unless some sort of miracle happens, it's safe to say they are out of contention for the playoffs. The best they can finish is 3-6, way below .500. Hopefully next season they will be able to come back into contention like they should be.

-{Conclusion}-

These are the official rankings going into Week 7. Hopefully by next week we can have a full committee to deal with the rankings, as that will be more fair. Let me know what you think of the rankings. Who is too high? Who got snubbed? Make sure to leave your thoughts down below. With the end of the season quickly approaching it's crunch time for these teams, and it will make for some exciting football.

Here is the schedule for next week:

WEEK 7 (September 24-25):

BYE WEEK: Ohio State and Clemson

Kansas State at LSU, 5 PM ET Saturday

UCLA at Miami, 7 PM ET Saturday (Flexible Game)

Alabama at ASU, 5 PM ET Sunday

Good luck to all teams, coaches and players!
