ive seen crappy wooden sticks at sporting goods stores around here that are 30-40 bucks.

Wood breaks easily and composite is more expensive. You can never win with buying sticks.
I still own maybe 3 non-broken hockey sticks, all of them are composite. |

TotallyNotCap, it is cheaper for him because he is younger with a less developed body than the rest of the majority. The sticks are made to fit his body which leads to a much cheaper cost.
