Just kidding I've already solved these problems (taken from the book). But seriously, this is weird stuff. I'd take calculus over stuff like this any day.
Write the dual of the following statements:
1) (x+y)*(x+1) = x + xy + x 2) x+x*(y+1)=x 3) x*y'=0 if and only if x*y=x
Assuming that p and r are false and that q and s are true, find the truth value of each proposition.
1) p→q 2) ¬p→¬q 3) (p→q)∧(q→r) 4) (s→(p∧¬r))∧((p→(r∨q))∧s)
Challenge question (I needed help from my professor to do this one)
1) A television poll of 151 persons found that 68 watched "Law and Disorder"; 61 watched "25"; 52 watched "The Tenors"; 16 watched both "Law and Disorder" and "25"; 25 watched both "Law and Disorder" and "The Tenors"; 19 watched both "25" and "The Tenors"; and 26 watched none of these shows. How many persons watched all three showers? |

| I'm only in the 10th grade so I would not be too much of a help. |

@Nuke
This would be statistics, which I have never taken...

DomKariya is right, this is discrete mathematics (which is mostly comprised of computer science majors)
I never took statistics but I don't think statistics is similar to discrete mathematics |

Either way IDK what you are talking about. I'm in MATH 206, which is analytical geometry and calculus.
Apparently the college looks at your ACT/SAT scores to determine your placement in math, which is why I skipped MATH 100. In many ways I'm glad because it's one less class I have to take, but at the same time, I hate the class I'm in.

first time I was filtered, but whatever
anyways, discrete mathematics is MATH 271. I guess the main reason I started taking that for my freshman year is because I already took both AP Calculus tests, so I already got my math credits.
I guess the 30 ACT score and Computer Science major pretty much sealed the deal for me. Technically, I don't have to take any more math classes, but hell, whatever. |

Wow, you're good at math.
I wish I was better at math than I am. Kinda need it if I'm a biology major.
