When I joined this website in mid-to-late 2011 I was mesmerized by the community and amount of things to do. I'm sixteen now and the website as is has still somewhat piqued my interest in that the community is in fact still so prosperous. That being said those veterans of the community will remember in their eyes what is typically remembered as a better time. What I mean is, a time before the price floor. Before the price floor the only complaint by the community was strictly cosmetic. They didn't like how things looked, but that didn't stop them from creating beautiful communities and making enormous projects. Shortly thereafter when the price floor was added, you saw an enormous drop in game quality, in group membership and organization, and overall satisfaction with the website in general. Now, I used to love this website and its interweaving communities, its humor, its originality, its vastness. But as of late I've felt somewhat cheated as I think many people had during the price floor's introduction. Like I said, group membership became harder to attain because it was too expensive to purchase a uniform. What's more, I've become almost put off by this recent removal of tickets. They claim it was to prevent what I call "alt farming", where you login each day on a separate account to accumulate tickets and then transfer it to a separate account. Honestly up until this notification of the removal of tickets, I'd never heard of someone doing that. It could just be me, but I've honestly never heard of that. I understand that ROBLOX is in fact a business, and it must stay running; so to insure the jobs of those who call it their workplace. However, in recent years it has become my perceived thought that the developers have completely abandoned the wishes and thoughts of the community, and placed any voice in the hands of high quality game creators rather than in the community itself. While these creators definitely deserve their due respect as there wouldn't be such magnificent games without them, without the community as a whole the developers would have nothing to develop for. So, however unreasonable it may be of me to ask, today I'd like to propose a full on democratic voting system based on which updates to approve, and which to revoke. The whole site is forced to take this survey to make sure that the community is satisfied with certain updates and add-ons. With this system in mind there will be some updates, (some major, some minor) that cannot be voted on, and will stay as a permanent part of the community. While I know beyond a shadow of a doubt, that this post will most likely be ignored by anyone of any authority on the website, I implore you to adopt this type of system or at least a modified version of it so as to better cater to the people you so avidly claim to work for. One of the things I think should be for sure voted on, is the abolition of tickets as currency, and the price floor as a whole entity. If the community wants it, then they shall receive it. If they do not, than they shall not.
With the fondest of thoughts and regards towards the ROBLOX staff and team, your faithful veteran- Thomas
