PREAMBLE AND REASONING
I'll be brief. This part of our Constitution known to be full of loopholes, makes it impossible for a Congressman to be appointed to any other public office during the time for which he was elected. Let's say you are a Representative and the President wants you to become Secretary of State, OH but it can't happen. Or maybe you're a Senator and you could become a Federal Judge - again, can't happen until your term is up.
This is because FRUCons is without a doubt a big fat failure in terms of literally anything.
!!! The amendment changes the broken paragraph to the text of the REAL Constitution !!!
BE IT RESOLVED IN THE UNITED STATES CONGRESS AND THE SUPREME COURT OF THE UNITED STATES,
CONSTITUTIONAL AMENDMENT
Article 1, Section 5, 4 "No Senator or Representative shall, during the time for which he was elected, be appointed to any other public government position, under the authority of the United States."
SHALL BE AMENDED TO--
"No Senator or Representative shall, during the time for which he was elected, be appointed to any civil office under the authority of the United States, which shall have been created, or the emoluments whereof shall have been encreased during such time; and no person holding any office under the United States, shall be a member of either House during his continuance in office."
Signed, Congressman HHPrinceGeorge. |

Thanks for providing false information.
If you resign from your Congress office you VOID YOUR ENTIRE TERM, allowing you to run for any other office. |

To be fair though, the clause does ensure people who run for Congress aren't at liberty to leave for a promotion. If people run for Congress, they really should stick with it. If they don't want to, let someone else have the opportunity.

Wow KOT, we finally agree on something lol?
HHPRINCE wants to change it to where you can be appointed for something during your Congressional role until you decide to resign.
Aka like be nominated for said position, he also wants to run for LVCC mayor and be a senator at the same time rofl! |

The fact that you scream at citizens for commenting on your bill in a negative manner doesn't show you're really fit to be a Representative if you can't take criticism.
'Civil office' and 'public government office' are synonyms. Congress is a branch of government.
