Hey, I'm currently working with sounds and I was wondering if anything has changed regarding them. I have the sound in a gui and when i request it to be played, it doesn't play. I have tested it in studio and it works fine but doesn't work in the actual game itself. Am I missing something?

where is the sound located? if it's located in a part it would only play for those near the part, but if located in soundservice it'd play for all players. also putting one inside the actual player will play it for that specific player

So it can't be placed in the GUI itself?

also the script must be a local script in StarterGui for it to work and Exonrix is right about all those stuff

yes, it can be placed in the gui as that is a descendant of playergui which again is a descendant of player, are you sure your roblox in-game volume is turned up?

that's odd, if it's your own sound then make sure it's approved
