I've been thinking about getting one or the other, but I'm not sure I really should. Can I play regularly on any of them- do I NEED internet just to play a game without much use of the internet? I was planning on maybe taking a look at fallout 4. Looks OK... But the game over all looks fun atleast. I really don't like the graphics for some reason...

| PS4 is the best option at the moment. A year of Playstation Plus is 60 dollars (US). The graphics are perfectly fine, idk how you would have a problem with the graphics when it is in 1080p. You will need Internet for updates, downloads, and to run applications like Hulu and Netflix. As far as I know you don't need PS Plus for Hulu or Netflix. |

Get a PS4. I actually got an XBox One, but I hated it since I couldn't find any games that I enjoyed that were only available on it (I have a good PC, so I'd rather play those games on the PC for performance and graphics reasons).
With the recent release of Forza Motorsport 6 (Apex) on the windows store, and the confirmation that Forza Horizon 3 will be available on the windows store, it appears that Microsoft might be bringing it's console exclusives to PC (and thus making those games no longer exclusives).
I've never used a PS4, but it does appear that the PS4 is better. It has the unique controller with the touchpad allowing you to experience games in a different way than you could before (well, it isn't too spectacular and most people would probably get used to it pretty fast). It doesn't look like Sony is going to be bringing their exclusives to PC so if you want one of those two consoles I would definitely get the Wii U.

I mean, the only reason why I ever got the xbone was for Forza Horizon 2.
And since 3 will be on pc...

also, if your going to get a ps4, get the ps neo on release or get the xbox one s, i'm basing my post on those consoles:
- the xbox one s has exclusives such as halo and the forza series - the ps neo has exclusives like uncharted 4 and ratchet and clank - the xbox one s has a more expensive backwards compatibility if you don't have old 360 disks - the ps neo has a less expensive, get hundreds of games through steaming by paying $50 a year service - the xbox one s has a more microsoft styled layout - the ps neo has a more sony styled layout - the ps neo controller destroys the xbox one controller 11/10, it's made for comfort - they're both probably pretty small - both 4k - the fans on the xbox one s are dead silent unless your downloading a large library of games - ps neo fans, unconfirmed so you should check that out on release
as far as it goes, it really depends on what you expect of your console |

"the ps neo controller destroys the xbox one controller 11/10, it's made for comfort"
Really?
I cannot hold a ps4 controller for more than 2 hours because my hands and fingers start to ache.
The xbone controller is really comfy for me

"Graphics Wise PS4"
A gaming PC completely overpowers a PS4 and Xbox one....
You should buy PC parts and build one yourself. Way better than a PS4 or Xbox one.
Only problem is that you can't get the exclusives on PS4.... |

Let me save everyone the time. Mostly people here will say PC (because let's be honest this forum is a PC gaming forum at this point) But then after recommending a PC, they will then tell you to get a PS4. Smart move in my opinion, ignore the increase of the price of PSPlus since Xbox has had that for years. And there are some pretty good single player games, like you said Fallout 4. Just get a PS4.
Your friendly neighborhood console gamer. |

PS4. Slightly better graphics than Xbox:One, but it's not so easy to tell PS+: Much more free games than Xbox Live, and i believe it's cheaper Much less childish-looking than Xbox:One (ew, that UI) Controller and console look much better aesthetically. Great exclusives (Uncharted 4, Bloodborne, etc, much more coming out)
But only get one if you can't afford a gaming PC.
