It feels a lot like Old World Blues, and OWB was my second favorite Fallout: New Vegas DLC, right next to Lonesome Road.

i got the space suit in new vegas and its 👌👌👌👌
but i prefer dead money over OWB purely because of the antics i got up to in the vault
I waddled out of there with 37 gold bars thanks to those grx turbo implants or whatever
it was great |

"but i prefer dead money over OWB purely because of the antics i got up to in the vault"
Dead Money was nice, and I loved how they touched on Elder Elijah and shed more light on the conditions under which he left the Brotherhood, but I loved how lighthearted OWB was. It felt humorous and silly, but not TOO silly and out-there like Mothership Zeta on Fallout 3 felt. Lonesome Road was just the best FO:NV DLC though, I can't praise it enough. I love how they expanded upon the past of Courier Six (both of them, really), and it answered a lot of previously unanswered questions. It was great.

Getting all the gold bars in dead money is absolutely painful.
It also ruins the idea of letting go.
Like you have to waddle over to the exit before Father Elijah spots you and you're moving like 1MPH because you're over encumbered.
Still did it though. |

| Also the new creatures in Nuka World aren't a complete cake walk for my level 71 character which is nice. |

I've been playing through with my level 104 character (it's not my highest, but I didn't want to be too high or else I would be too much of a tank), and it's a liiiiitle bit too easy. It's still a relatively difficult DLC though. Dead Money will always be the most frustrating DLC for me though.

i mean, if you get a melee/unarmed character it gets a bit too easy to kill the guys
punch one to death, take whatever weapon he has and kill the rest with it
if its a cosmic knife, good for you, you have a solid weapon to carry you through the entire DLC |

Out of my 20 or so characters across all of the consoles I played FO:NV on, very few of them were melee-centric characters. All of my melee builds were for challenge runs, and those ones did usually give me an easier time going through Dead Money.
