Pretty much.
Sad that Milwaukee won't get a team any time soon. An ahl team isn't enough. |

Don't get me wrong, I love the packers.
But I also love the sport of hockey. And I think with the amount of popularity of the sport in the state, combined with the talent that comes out of the state in the sport (Phil Kessel, Joe Pavelski, Ryan Seuter, Alex Galchenyuk, Drew Stafford), I do think the city of Milwaukee/state of Wisconsin is deserving of an NHL team. Sure most fans in the state have flocked to the hawks, red wings, and wild. Yet if a team was created in Wisconsin, I believe that most fans would root for that team. If you possibly look at for example the New York Islanders, and possibly the Ottawa Senators. Big teams like the Rangers, Habs, and Leafs taking the fans, but they are able to find their own fan bases. Heck, the Islanders eventually won 4 straight cups.
I believe that if we make the right moves, Milwaukee would easily be atop the leagues best given some time. |

| It'd be nice to see Detroit back in the central with teams that they have rivalries with, but I think they'd be upset because of the longer travel time in the west. That was the whole reason that Colombus and Detroit got moved to the east in the first place |

Halifax would be in the East, which is unlikely unless the NHL makes themselves look like idiots and move Detroit or Columbus back to the West. |

| I live in Halifax and I would LOVE LOVE LOVE to have a NHL team I could easily go to games, no flights, just a ## ###### ###### favourite team would still be the rangers, cant just leave a fanbase just like that. Halifax would be easily tied for first or second favourite, though. Heck maybe I would be a Halifax fan when all the rangers retire ########### ##### jt miller] (if Halifax gets a team) |

| A Seattle team would most likely be called the Metropolitans, like how Ottawa chose the name Senators as a tribute to the franchise they had lost ~60 years earlier. |

I don't understand why the "Original Six" are called the original six
Montreal, Toronto, Boston, Detroit, Chicago, New York R., but there were plenty of other teams- Montreal Maroons, New York A.'s, original Ottawa Senators.
also NHL 100th anniversary is 1 more season from the 2016-2017 season- this is season 99. |

what a stupid thing to say
this literally makes no sense
do you think everyone from wisconsin will automatically sign to the milwaukee team? do you think somehow they will have the greatest expansion draft of all time? what could possibly be your basis for saying they could be one of the best teams in the league in a short span?
>I don't understand why the "Original Six" are called the original six
because they have all been in every season since 1926 and were literally the only teams in the league from 1942 to the '67 expansion

"what could possibly be your basis for saying they could be one of the best teams in the league in a short span?"
We've seen expansion teams become relevant quickly before in hockey. The Islanders only took three seasons to get their first playoff appearance (getting to the semifinals), won their first division and conference title only six seasons into their existence, and won their first Stanley Cup just 8 seasons into their existence.
It very well could happen and there's examples from other sports.

i think portland has a much better chance than seattle, as seattle is dangerously close to vancouver. it's why markham (close to toronto) didn't get an nhl team when that huge arena was being planned.

| The new expansion rules seem to give more of a boost to the new team than in previous ones, I could see Las Vegas starting off better than expected their first season (as in better than last place). |

Not to mention Portland already has a suitable arena. Seattle does not, unless they use the Tacoma Dome which is horrendously ugly. |
