My favorite band is Rush, and while I really can't say I truly hate any of their albums, I think they have plenty of albums that are over-appreciated, as well as plenty of other ones that don't get enough love.
My pick for "most overrated album" is probably their most famous one, "Moving Pictures". Don't get me wrong, it is an absolutely GREAT album, but the entirety of side A (with the exception of "Red Barchetta", which I never get tired of for some reason), is overplayed, albeit very good, material. Side B, on the other hand, is much less tiresome for me and is, in my opinion, superior ("The Camera Eye" is probably my favorite off this album, and one of my favorites from the band as a whole). Still, despite Side B being very overshadowed and perhaps underrated to an extent, the sheer popularity of Side A (predominately from "Tom Sawyer" and "Limelight", the album's two weakest tracks), when compared to the quality of the rest of the release that is overlooked by many, makes this, in my opinion, the most overrated Rush album.
As for "most underrated album", I'm going to pick something that will probably get many other people to look at me with a bit of a funny stare... "Hold Your Fire". While it did give us "Tai Shan" (perhaps the worst Rush song of all time), the whole album consists of Rush testing the waters of "pop-rock", which while not a bad thing, is not something you expect them to do. It is a good and consistent one quality-wise, and one that gets needlessly trashed upon by some fans. The album has a clear, crisp sound, and most of the songs have catchy, well-done tunes. Sure, it's not a great album and is roughly in the middle of my list of Rush albums from best to worst, but it is consistent and pleasing, albeit a bit sanitized compared to much of their other music. |

I always see Radiohead fans say that Kid A and In Rainbows are tons better than OK Computer and The Bends, which I think is absolute crap. So in that respect, In Rainbows and Kid A are overrated
For underrated, maybe Autoamerican by Blondie. It's not as good as Parallel Lines but it's a good evolution of their music. |

| For me, Radioheads my favorite band of all time. There most popular record is Ok Computer and it's personally my favorite. But another hugely popular record amount Radiohead fans is The Bends...which I still find a pretty damn good album...but with all of Radioheads evolving I think The Bends is not something too look back on and try too emulate or wish Radiohead too become. There new album A Moon Shaped Pool is the perfect evolution for the group. |

| Strange Days by the Doors is their 3rd best album, yet it's underrated. |
