I'm an absolute noob, building for less than 6 months and I don't want to share my project because it sucks and it doesn't make sense but I need some help with it. I have 3 buckets at a 45 degree angle to the left when you spawn. Off in the distance there's a bucket that is angled the same but is coded to move vertically, however, on play, it's set at a 90 degree angle and I can't figure out how to correct that.
How would I adjust the angle back to 45 degrees and what's overriding that property? How can I ensure that it doesn't move or rotate when hit with a football? Is there a non scientific, non mathematical, non physics way to achieve this? I suck at math and would like to keep things simple.
local movingBucket = script.Parent local pointBucket = movingBucket.pointBucket local start = movingBucket.start local finish = movingBucket.finish local bodyPosition = pointBucket.BodyPosition
while true do pointBucket. bodyPosition.position = start.Postion wait(5) bodyPosition.position = finish.Position wait(4) end

This is just a place I created to test my thoughts and learn new things. Please don't down vote my project.

| that paintbucket in the while true do is a misprint. I tried to use the position of the object in the script..but forgot to delete the entire line before I posted it..if that's why I've been over looked. |

BodyGyro
The BodyGyro object acts like a real gyroscope, it attempts to keep a fixed orientation of its parent relative to the BodyGyro's cframe. You can change the cframe to look at a certain spot, stop a brick from rotating, or track a player or object. Note that the position (X,Y,Z) of the CFrame doesn't affect the orientation (or anything else) of the part at all. Setting it to CFrame.new(0,0,0) or CFrame.new(1,2,3) would make no difference.

Got it. Thanks Roblox...
local Model = script.Parent local platform = Model.platform local start = Model.start local finish = Model.finish local bodyPosition = platform.BodyPosition local tilt = platform.BodyGyro
while true do tilt.cframe = CFrame.Angles(0,0,90) bodyPosition.position = start.Position wait(8) bodyPosition.position = finish.Position wait(5) end |
