| Are you allowed to purposely strike out on a pitch in the dirt, and run to first to try to gain a baserunner? |

u can try but unless it goes to the backstop u probably won't beat it out, so probably not a good idea

| there's probably a statistic somewhere that tells how many people reach it to first on a wild pitch strike out but unless you're very fast i wouldn't risk it |

| I did that once when I was 11, the catcher threw like he had tommy john so my obese body made it to first |
