@nopants 2.A of the TOS of Steam describes how you do not buy a game but buy a license and thus you have no consumer rights. And Valve have already abused this power, just search up some articles. |

@Cub Yup. But I have like a $2K steam library so I'm pretty screwed (obiviously tons of promos, I cant afford 2K$)
Also what steam basicly says: You are buying a computer, the contract may change any time without prior notice. If you do not agree to the new contract your computer will be taken back from you without a refund. |

@Cat GOG = Good Old Games Good is in their title!
Okay but in all honestly they do not sell games with DRM which is not bad in my opinion. And you also can't really expect the newest best AAA games on GOG either. But they do have some of the best games ever made (old classics) and quite a few indie titles. |

"GOG = Good Old Games Good is in their title!"
yeah
OLD GAMES
the only thing I found worth buying off of GOG was SimCity 4 (but I already own SimCity 4 on Steam so I'm not buying it) |

@Cat Doesn't mean I like those TOS'. But with steam its different for me, because when I am purchasing actual goods like a game, computer, couch, ... I do not want to see that horrible TOS.
I'm not going to buy a computer if I am legally bound to give it back to the seller without a refund whenever the sellers asks me to do it. |

literally with any game/software/movie that is what you are doing. You are not buying the game you are buying a license for the game lol
