Usually used when their original name they want is taken, so why not add a letter or two?

"ii" because "i" is usually already used. It's the most used letter in the beginning of usernames because it basically represents "Me".
And "x", I don't know man, but I think it's because it's usually frequently unused. I guess it just looks better?
xJerry or gJerry?
xJerry because the g just LOOKS WEIRD. |

also if someone's name is josh, for example, the username "josh" would most likely be taken. so, they replace the vowel in their name (in this case o in josh) and replace it with an x. at least that's what i think

Yeah @ cuddley, and I think that's due to the fact that if someone was usernamed Jxsh, you'd think of it as JOSH because it's a familiar name.
If their name was Jysh, Jush, Jwsh for example, it just doesn't seem right. You feel me? I feel you. :) |

people are too braindead nowadays to come up with something original so if they see something is taken, chances are they'll put "i", "ii", and "ayee" or be black and use terms only black people would use like "finesse" or make "versace" sound "cooler" by putting an x instead of the a
