gmo foods can be great they're modified to be tastier, more productive, and resistant to disease & pests without use of poisons
i'd much rather seedless GMO grapes over seed grapes anyday
though terminator genes are a bit of a D move |

with such a large population that continues to grow, GMO foods will be the future of food production
it seems much more sensible to use a genetically-modified crop that produces a tremendous yield, is more edible, uses less space, and is more resistant to disease & pests.
traditional crops, however, can only produce so much in the large spaces they require for any significant yield. also they're often sprayed with poison to combat disease & pests |

i tend to avoid gmo foods
i'm not exactly against their production but i do feel that they should be labeled |

@cat
my god
imagine vertical farms that take up the area of manhattan, all growing GMO crops
food will probably become so dirt-cheap that even agricorps will have no trouble feeding the starving of the world |

vertical farming + GMO crops = food for everyone |

@catboy
well there already is enough food for everyone on the planet
but since the only people who are starving are poor, they can't buy the food |

"but since the only people who are starving are poor, they can't buy the food"
but if there's a lot of an item, the price drops |
