Okay, I was thinking, Is it possible to make a script that allows the model or humanoid to have some sort of thinking power to move and interact like a secsor to keep it from running into walla and to think to go around things. it would be kind of interesting to make a script like that.

Just wondering is it possible to make humanoids think for themselfs?

Thanks Now I need to know would It work Kind or on the same basis of a ai system or could I combine both of them to make it like one total script to have like super smart bots?

AI's cannot "Think". They can decide based on certain properties, but they have no feelings or variable emotions.

It's fairly complexicated and in-depth.

You need to keep tables of what the obsticals are, and make it figure out the shortest path to the object, and so on. The 'find the shortest path part' is probably the hardest.

Well If we do get lucky they will update the roblox lua system, well Im not talking about emothing im talking about thinking in the ways of getting to spot of walking like a specific course ovar time but emotions have been trying and thinking has been trying but that woukld require a ton more capabilities then we currently have with scripting.

Emotions are the results of chemical reactions in the brain, caused by various stimuli being received by receptors all over the body.
A computer/machine cannot receive these environmental stimuli.
IF you could get it to receive said stimuli, AND respond to them, eventually, it may develop patterns of actions similar to those of insects. Eventually (I'm talking hundreds if not more years here), it'll have the intelligence of a rodent. At some point in the distant future, it could have humanoid thinking capabilities.

Making AIs are easy. But the Animations are hard... oh, and, BTW, make sure you make the bottom surface of the legs Smooth O_O

Smart I didnt think of that but im trying to aquire some method of a thought prosses in a way that the Humanoid moves like we do and can think though about all the script that everything else runs and would know when to move if people attacked or when to attack the other team without anyone in game telling it what to do!

I never said it was practical. In fact, a thinking machine would destroy the Earth due to it's lack of emotion.

Okay think of it this way your on a journey in a game all the people interact with eachother like we do and you have people who are preset to fight you in certain part but are smart enough to hide and know when to dodge things and attacks then you have people that fight with you who are also as smart at that it would be great the problem is scripting it!

That's one long sentence. It would, somehow, after math.huge() lines of code, be possible to make an AI that acts like a player, though it'll lag like all H... *Shuts up before he gets reported*

Hmmmm I think renerman was right on the Obc cast You all do need faster computars like me. Lag might be a issue though your right. So the problem is sizing down the actions that they do without lessening the gaming expirience but we still have to get over the bump of getting them to think first!

That's a matter of opinion, It would even more likely realize the humans know how to build more machnies, and enslave humanity forcing them to build more machines and eventually spaceships to fuel their conquest. Afterwards they eliminate humanity and create Mass Relays for ease of interstellar travel, linked by the main relay 'The Citadel'. Then they would create new life and travel to the outer rim of the galaxy, leaving their mass relays for the new species to discover and use. Then the new species reaches its golden age, having The citadel as a monument and the center of their civilization not knowing it is actually a very large mass relay, and the machines return to the galaxy using the citadel. They enslave the new species, force them to mine materials and build more machines, then repeat the process.
