Hello and welcome! This guide will show you how to create a good Baton Pass team in Pokémon BrickBronze!

Overview: The move Baton Pass makes the Pokémon who uses it switch out and transfer any stat changes to the new Pokémon being sent out.

Baton Pass is a move that 28 different Pokémon can learn by leveling up. And, another 35 can learn it as an egg move! This means there are many different team options to choose from.

A lot of Baton Pass teams have Ninjask as a lead Pokémon. This is because of its ability, Speed Boost. Speed Boost raises the Pokémon's speed one stage after each turn. Think: if Ninjask uses Protect, it will receive a free speed boost! It should also have Sword's Dance as a move so it can raise its attack too. Here is a good Ninjask moveset for this scenario:

Ninjask / Ability: Speed Boost / Item: Focus Sash /
Moves: Sword's Dance, Protect, X-Scissor, Baton Pass

Also, Blaziken with the Speed Boost ability could work in that same role, but instead of Sword's Dance it could have Bulk Up, and a different attacking move to replace X-Scissor.

After that, your lead Pokémon should Baton Pass to a bulky Pokémon that can tank a hit. Luckily, every evolution of Eevee can learn Baton Pass! This means the evolutions with high defensive stats can work perfectly in this spot. Some of the best options are Vaporeon with the move Acid Armor to gain defense, or an Umbreon or Espeon with the move Calm Mind to gain special attack and special defense. Once you get those new stats you can either attack from here or Baton Pass to a different Pokémon.

Let's say you have a Vaporeon and used Acid Armor twice. Now, if you Baton Pass to an Umbreon, it can use Calm Mind to gain more stats. From there it can attack or Baton Pass again. If you choose to pass, a bulky offensive Pokémon would be the best option to go to. If it is your last Pokémon on the Baton Pass line, you don't need it to have the move Baton Pass, and can get another attack instead.

Now you should have two or three remaining spots on your team. You can just put Pokémon that you can rely on to help you if your Baton Pass stats get reset there.

Conclusion: Making a good team can be hard, but I hope this guide helped you get an idea on how this type of team works. If you need more information just ask us in the group below!
