The school went into lockdown for 3 hours after a shotgun shell was found in a locker
Police swarmed the building and we all got patted down |

The old middle school principal stopped a shooter by saying "we don't allow guns in here"

A similar incident happened at the highschool I attended.
It was Autumn, around Deer season, so naturally there were people going hunting.
Well one morning a student walked into school, just after he had finished hunting that same morning. He had found a shotgun shell in his jacket pocket; he had forgotten to empty his pockets after he returned from hunting.
That shell was discovered by the school principal, who just let the boy go.
No searches, no police, no lockdown.
Needless to say, finding live ammo every Autumn was a common occurrence. |

| The year after I graduated, someone brought and spilled a box of bullets in the school caf. They went on lockdown for, like, four hours before sending everyone home. |
