This is the back story of the crashed BAE-146 at Lolland Falster(Maribo) Airport. Link: https://www.roblox.com/games/453533109/Lolland-Falster-Airport-Maribo-Airport-Denmark
At afternoon the July 21 2002, the Danish Air Transport Flight 459 was slowly rolling out on the runway at Hamburg in Germany. Now almost on their way to Maribo Airport in Denmark, on a relatively short flight. On the flight were Mikkel Hansen and his son David H. sitting right next to the right side engines. They were both really excited to come home, as they had been a few weeks in germany now. On the late take-off the captains could hear some weird noices from the engines. But they didn't worry about anything, because literally danes take that as 'It works!'. Well later at the in-flight to Lolland Falster Airport, they kind got a little concerned about what the heck were going on, and one of the captains now walked out in the cabin to see what was wrong. He found out that is was a leak, and it kinda looked bad. When he got back in the cockpit, he turned off the nearest engine, just to make sure that no fire was going to be started. On the flipside the flight was completely relaxing, and the leak didn't effect the plane so far. On final approach to Lolland Falster Airport Mikkel saw something hitting the engine near the leak, where it then goes out of function. The planes goes totally out of balance in a few momments, and some people starts to panic. Mikkel H. informs the Flight Attendant about what exactly happend, because he was looking out of the window in the momment it happend. Then the captains get the information from the Flight Attendant, as they now are on final approach to the airport. In the meen time, there is a bit of confusion in the cabin as the captains haven't said that we are going to do an emergency landing, and the plane slowly approaching the coastline of Lolland Falster. Right after going above the beach, the engine explodes, and now the plane starts a deadly dive and roll to the left. While this happend, some people at the beach had seen it all, how the plane slowly fell towards the ground, and describes it as the biggest explosion they ever had seen of course. They also did call for help, but no life were to be seen when they ran up to the crash side. Today is this airport still as dangerous due to the short runway, and the amount of birds in the area. None of the 86 passengers survived because of the extreme impact with 180kmh the plane hit the ground with.
Thank you for reading this, and please make sure to check out my airline Cape Air, that has Maribo Airport as hub.
