a overhyped indie game being sold for AAA price its poorly optimized and its repetitive and boring i have it on pc and on ps4 and "18 quinquillion planets" is just a bunch of re colored of the assets their representation of the universe is inaccurate, if ur looking for a dope exploration sandbox get subnautica better graphics, better building mechanics. including its 10x more optimized
including for 60 dollars i expect a game that works lol (pc)

| I don't own it, but procedural generation doesn't have a mind of its own, making it well near impossible for no man's sky to work |

| Spent exactly 42 hours on it already. I'm addicted to it already and haven't reached the center yet :(. The game is just you like it or you don't. |

It's Horrible, no Content at all. The Creator Lied blatantly about a LOT of things too

the game barely had any features the creators actually promised, lacked everything except performance issues, and became repetitive in the first five minutes
if the creators actually put in what they said they would, it would've been a much better game |

is there really 18 quintillion planets
that sounds very impossible when you compare that number to the max 64 bit integer
after all i doubt you could fit that much planets without the game crashing |

well in terms of number wise, no
because you have games like AdVenture Capitalist which have numbers that go beyond Quintillion |

| @outride ever heard of procedural generation? And there isn't a point in going to the center but still would be quite an accomplishment. |

@leo
im pretty sure there's still limits as to how far you can travel
would you be able to travel past 2 billion or 9 quintillion
im pretty sure procedural isnt going to be infinity |

| It does mean Infinity but it just gets less performance the farther you go which might mean due to some computers or devices not being able to handle that much it can cause problems. That is the general procedural generation. The generation in No Man's Sky depends on how the developers made it. I don't know if its exactly infinite or not. |

well, 18 quintillion is pretty impossible. for 64 bit people, maybe. 32 bit, definitely not.

I looked at system requirements and it says for the OS it mentions 64 bit, so I don't think it works on 32 bit |

i mean if you take into account the height instead of just forward and backward

The game won't run well for 32bit since there locked at 4gb of ram luckily the PS4 has 8gb of ram which allows it to be released on that console as well but just because you have a 64bit computer if you have 4gb of ram or less you'll be lagging quite a bit when trying to load new chunks of areas.

the world isnt procedural generated its just so large that you are ploped down at a random point which makes it seem like it is
also the planets themselves have an extreme lack of diversity so idk why you guys are fussing about ram limits |
