How to counter jumpers? I know just about everyone jumps these days, but I made a promise to myself that I wouldn't. It's ruining swordfighting in my opinion. I can do it while fencing, but because the sword is shorter every time I get close enough it's a tie. Any advice? I'm not switching over...

jumpers sacrifice their ability to strike so when theyre in the air move to the side away from their sword and finish them

It's worked on a few people, but for the people that bunny hop like crazy it seems it's nearly impossible. Appreciate that tip though, it's already helped a lot.

Join a clan that uses old animations, you'd love it.

I'm already in a clan on my main and I'm an HR, but currently I'm terrible because of the jumpers. I've been bad ever since the jumpers. The swordfighters that only jump once are getting a easier, but the sword fighters that just spam the space bar are difficult to beat.

I remember back when people would only jump to escape situations. Back then it wasn't a first option. Those were the good days.

Do you think old animations could help with new animations if I practice?

Both animations will help each other.
By learning Old Animations you'll have a good skill developed in both Old and New animations, since both are not all that different.
In Old Animations it's easier to dodge, and jumping needs to be timed and used more carefully.
In New Animations jumping can be abused because the sword never goes "Up" when you jump, however it also leaves the person jumping in the clear for either going under them and pulling something off that way or hitting their feet since their feet are right above your sword's point.
Swordfighting is an act that required muscle memory, the best thing you can do is use a meadows and practice there in large TDMs. Meadows will teach you about terrain advantages.
The more practice the better you'll become, and you may even come up with your own techniques. Don't depend on others to teach you techniques because you'll only learn what everyone knows. The key to winning is to be unpredictable. |

Appreciate it, Vos. Yes, I've been playing on Old Animations and it's made me better overall.
