It is funny that they're implementing a concept that every other sport game has had for years.

you do know my city has like 15 teams above houseleague, and is building an NHL sized arena, and we aren't even in the top 10 biggest cities, right?

and?
what's your point

it would still be a money pit with a miniscule population, a struggling currency, and the smallest TV market in the league

TIL "easily support" means lose millions of dollars in revenue

yes, having a canadian team would definitely lose the NHL money, because every canadian hates hockey. this is why every single toronto game in their new home arena has been sold out.

Log, being "sold out" means nothing. Attendance is what's important

Attendance means virtually nothing

put a team anywhere in a southern part of a province and they will have a huge tv market, and tons of tickets being sold as long as its a city more relevant than Alert, Nunavut.

Yes, because Toronto has a horrible attendance rate. This is why people spend hundreds of dollars to sit in the nosebleeds.

uhh, I don't think you understand how that works
Any small Canadian city that you're getting hard over will automatically have 5x smaller of a TV market than any one of the American cities on this list. Plus as I said, your currency is sh*t so that devalues the worth of a potential Canadian team even more.

I'd just rather there be a full Canadian league away from the American one that isn't the CHL. A league for good players to go Kappa
