Has to be Montana. There's literally no fathomable reason for anyone to visit Montana. Why do you think that's where they stockpiled all of the nukes during the Cold War?
Even Wyoming has Yellowstone, and every American should go to Yellowstone at some point in their lives |

| New Mexico for me. Just no real reason to go there if I can visit Arizona or Texas instead which offer the same weather conditions and even better places to visit. |

Montana has some awesome canyons though, one of my neighbors is retiring there.

Already been to New Mexico Carlsbad Caverns is a must see
And I've been to Alabama too It's a drive through state
both of those are places that you could potentially end up in one day I'm talking about obscure, nothing to do, nothing there, nobody around, no reason at all to cross the state border line type of state |

| Rhode Island is the smallest state in terms of size therefore it is the least likely state for me to be in at some point. |

I've been there, although only for like 15 minutes. |

| It's not hard, but it's very unlikely to go to the worst geographically placed state. Even Hawaii has a better reason to be visited. |
