____________ tl;dr - City Councils keep promising the same things (more teams, more tools, new and relevant places to enjoy, features added at the request of citizens and so on), while Las Vegas has been the same for YEARS. Oh wait excuse me, we added another bank that's not guarded and it's always being robbed... I plan to change all these with my campaign strategy for Mayor of Las Vegas. > > > Even though my speech seems long, it really is worth spending LITERALLY 3 minutes of your time checking my plans out. ____________ I'm feeling quite outraged. Every three months when we see massive campaigns for the Las Vegas City Council (LVCC) and especially for Mayor, people come with the wildest promises in the world: "we're gonna add teams", "we're gonna support businesses and add them in Vegas", "we're gonna give tools to certain teams", "we're gonna add more music", "improve lag by finding ways to do so" and the list goes on and on. Well I haven't seen any of those happen yet. Las Vegas, at least in my humble opinion, has been the EXACT same for a few YEARS. Oh wait excuse me, we added another bank that's not guarded and always robbed. I think that's a fair reason to be outraged, don't you? Ladies and gentlemen, after serving in the Congress of the people, elected by the people for 12 months straight, I think I am qualified enough to see through all these political clichés and all the meaningless and vague promises these candidates make every three months when they kiss everyone in the *** to get votes and support. With the upcoming Las Vegas Mayor election on September 13th 2016, I hereby announce my intention to run for Mayor of Las Vegas and this time we will do things my way. This time guys, we are going to prove to all these extremely "devoted" members of the LVCC that real accomplishments CAN and WILL be made during a single term, by having a resolute and steady leader who focuses on communication (which apparently lacks a lot right now). The City Council's main purpose is assuring that everyone has a good in-game experience, full of possibilities, and as the 'managers' of LV we have to make sure the city has reasons to be active and qualified to be the best. After all, it's the most played NUSA game. I have a few key views: - LVCC members must pass serious acts regarding the city development in order to improve the game and make it much more attractive to players; - Keeping track of the public's opinion. Okay this one's important mostly because if we listen to what people want and find ways to implement those requests then people will play. It's a simple concept to follow and that isn't happening right now; - I'll make sure that councilmen are active, devoted and motivated to improve the city. It's important to have competent people in such key positions instead of.. well.. inactive and unprepared members; - The policy-making body will look to the city's goals, major projects and infrastructure improvements. Of course these will range from community growth to strategic planning. We're talking about both creating more buildings for federal agencies and bodies, maybe even offices, but also for BUSINESSES. Those have always been forgotten. We need promotion. We only have a business or two that are known because there is nobody to even bother caring about growing NUSA and employment through businesses; - I'm planning to give City Councils certain local authorities over legislation and laws.
I think my experience as a legislator (while being a Congressman, the Speaker of the House and the Vice President of the United States) qualifies me to put our greatest city back on its feet.
I also have a plan for pauljkl (the LV developer) that will surely help reduce lag while we'll be able to implement more attractions and features (also increasing the server's maximum population). Now this is just a personal to-do list which I will discuss with the rest of the LVCC and figure out the best solutions through communication. Once we figure out the safest way to implement a feature then we will do so, and if something will be too "impossible to add" (which I doubt) then I'll personally find a way to add something similar. Thank you for reading and if you decide to endorse me I promise WE will easily go down in history as the ones who changed Vegas once and for all. Yes, I said WE, because YOU are part of the process. Signed, Senator HHPrinceGeorge. |

You have no idea about the internal workings of LV. How do you plan on reducing lag without a knowledge of the system? Assuming you're looking at the old LV, the current LV is not similar. |

Seems to me like you just reiterated everything you said you were tired of hearing people say when running for office.
I. We're gonna support businesses and add them in Vegas. Then you proceed to say: "We're talking about both creating more buildings for federal agencies and bodies, maybe even offices, but also for BUSINESSES. Those have always been forgotten."
II. Features added at the request of citizens. You proceed to say: "Keeping track of the public's opinion. Okay this one's important mostly because if we listen to what people want and find ways to implement those requests then people will play."
III. Improve lag by finding ways to do so. After that you say: "I also have a plan for pauljkl (the LV developer) that will surely help reduce lag while we'll be able to implement more attractions and features.
Quite frankly, you've clearly proposed nothing new here and your promise of granting the Vegas Council lawmaking powers was surely something you could've done in your twelve months in Congress. Is it only a priority now that you wish to be Mayor? |

I think I proposed a lot of new things because everything these candidates who ran was never implemented.
As Mayor we're not only going to give the federal government teams and tools added so they can properly run operations, but also business areas. After D.C. and other upcoming cities were able to add businesses I see no reason why the current Vegas leadership would refuse to give our BIGGEST city full opportunities and features.
The only reason people go to Vegas is to guard the bank (or rob it, or hang around it).
This is a ROLEPLAYING group, yet I barely see any roleplaying possibilities when it comes to Vegas. The only crowded place is a bank? Give me a break, cities need more attractions and I'm not talking about politics now, but in terms of game development: the game sucks. It needs a lot of improvements from cars, to buildings and to the possibility of DOING SOMETHING.
Go to Vegas, see it gets boring quickly.
Any my darling, I wasn't necessarily interested in City Councils before, but it slowly got on my nerves to see that NOTHING gets done in Vegas. NOTHING, NOTHING, NOTHING. I'll propose legislation to give them more local authority so maybe that way they'll wake up and work at least a little more.
Also if you don't agree with these, you're welcome to go away from my forum and campaign, but if there's at least one person to disagree with these facts they must be extremely misinformed and probably blind. |

Definitely support. I know this man, I know his thinking.
I know, we all know, that he'd be the PERFECT choice when compared to the history of city councils and their leaders, which is terrible. Nothing has changed with them, ever. All of them promise the same thing, do nothing.
Aluos is a prime example of this. He had my support at the start, he seemed like a nice guy as FBI CoS, but shortly after he adopted todays stereotype of "funny", which isn't something LVM needs to aim for.
I believe that HHP will do so much more by, finally, BREAKING this chain.
Best of regards, The Honorable Kolibob |
