I have to take medicine. I don't know what caused it, if anyone knows the reason that caused it or how to prevent it from happening again. All help would be good. |

Bladder infections, from my knowledge, are usually caused by E. coli bacteria. It's not always a matter of you being unclean, because they can just enter your body even in the cleanest of people. Your risk can be really reduced by just staying clean, but that won't really prevent it. Your body will be a lot more adjusted to this particular strain of E. coli, but you could certainly get a bladder infection from a different strain at some point down the road. There are some factors that can increase your risk of contracting bladder infections, but they can get me banned just for even talking about them, so I won't get there. As long as you keep on your antibiotic regimen, you'll eliminate almost all risks of getting a secondary kidney infection.
