I think that you should add a spotdarkness, or a pointdarkness. The exact opposite of spotlight/pointlight.
Q/A: Q1: How will this function?
A1: Example: Put this in a brick and then, It will darken up an area, Depending on what angle you choose. And, It also depends on a darkness property, which should be added along with the point/spot darkness.
Q2: What if there is a spotlight and a spotdarkness?
A2: It'll simply make it neutral in light, and darkness, therefore making it like there is no spot dark/light. BUT, If lets say pointdarkness.Darkness = 6, and pointlight.Brightness = 5, It'll be as if pointdarkness = 1. And, as if there is no pointlight, Although, If it's pointlight.Brightness = 5, and pointdarkness.Darkness = 5, then It'll be as if nothing existed that's a property of light, or darkness, and obviously if pointlight.Brightness = 6, and pointdarkness.Darkness = 5, then it'll be as if pointlight.Brightness = 1.
Q3: What's the max range?
A3: Same as with pointlight / spotlight.
Q4: Can you change the darkness color?
A4: No, It's always black by default for the color.
Q5: Can you put shadows for pointdarkness / spotdarkness?
A5: You can.
Q6: What about a bit of scripting information about this new object?
A6: Well, Classname = "SpotDarkness", or "PointDarkness", You can edit the angle by doing this: game.Workspace:findFirstChild("Brick").SpotDarkness.Angle = 150 -- Or whatever angle, and you can edit the darkness property like this: game.Workspace:findFirstChild("Brick").SpotDarkness.Darkness = 5
Q7: What's the max darkness?
A7: 10.
