This is the official Metropolitan Police Service handbook. This handbook must be followed by all officers, no matter what rank, at all times. Failure to do so will very likely result in you being exiled from the force, depending on the situation. The Metropolitan Police Service aims to make London a safe, calm and peaceful environment for everybody to experience.
SECTION I - RULES
- Profanity is banned in-game, however is allowed in Skype chats. - You MUST work in a team effectively. - If a person who is not law enforcement, government or a relevant official enters the Houses of Parliament (or any other private/restricted building), then you should attempt to subdue them after an appropriate number of warnings. You should use appropriate force. - You MUST obey higher ranked officers and conform with basic rules and orders set by them, unless they are unlawful. Failure to do so will likely result in being exiled. - The radio should only be used for communicating with other government and law enforcement personnel properly and respectfully. No disputes are to start, end or take place whatsoever on the radio. Failure to obey this rule will result in you being exiled. - You MUST obey any higher rank than you, for example: If you are a Constable and a Sergeant tells you to do something, you do it immediately without question unless the order is unlawful. Or if you are a Superintendent and a Commander tells you to do something, you will also do so immediately and without question unless the order is unlawful. - It is easy to know what is right and what is wrong. You should also, quite frankly, use your brain in every situation.
SECTION II - EXPECTATIONS
- You are expected to patrol for 30 minutes a day for 5 days a week minimum. - Be as professional as you can at all times. - Help those who need help (as well as enforcing the law). - Attend every training possible (if unable to attend a training, you should PM the Commissioner beforehand). - Address all civilians as Sir/Ma'am. - Treat everyone equally, no matter what religion etc. they are.
SECTION III - PATROLLING
When on patrol, you should give your position and state on the radio at least every five minutes. For example, "State 6 - HoP".
Status Codes: State 0 - Emergency Assistance Required State 1 - On duty State 2 - On patrol State 3 - At station State 4 - On break (maximum of 5 minutes per hour) State 5 - En-route to incident State 6 - At scene State 7 - Committed to another incident however still deployable State 8 - Committed to another incident and not deployable State 9 - Criminal escort State 10 - VIP escort State 11 - Off duty
SECTION IV - MAKING AN ARREST
This process is to be followed when making an arrest. The only exception is if a direct order to arrest has been filed or the person is AoS. 1) Remind the offender of the law they are breaking (if murder/assault, move to step 3) 2) Warn them (between 1-3 times) that continuation of breaking the law will result in an arrest 3) Arrest the offender
SECTION V - ARRESTABLE OFFENCES
- Assault (anything that causes physical harm to someone) - Trespassing (inside restricted areas such as HoP, BP, BAF Barracks) - Harassment (distraction from duties for no valid reason) - Firearms trafficking (supplying, receiving) - Abuse of firearms (firing shots in any way other than self-defence) - Murder (deliberate killing of an innocent) - Manslaughter (unintentional killing of an innocent)
SECTION VI - BEHAVIOUR
- Use of ANY bad language should be minimised - Take responsibility for all of your actions - Be completely honest at all times with your superiors - You are expected to show your dedication towards the force - Show respect to everyone - Follow all rules and expectations - Use full grammar at all times when on duty - Do not use faces while on duty
SECTION VII - PUNISHMENTS
- Reminder (can only be set by Sergeant+ for minor offences) - Warn (can only be set by Chief Inspector+ for minor offences) - Suspension (can only be set by Commander+ for average-serious offences) - Demotion (can only be set by Assistant Commissioner+ for average-serious offences) - Exile (for a minimum of 1-2 weeks, advice can be given to the Commissioner by Assistant Commissioner+ for serious offences) - Blacklist (advice can be given to the Commissioner by Assistant Commissioner+ for very serious offences)
SECTION VIII - PROMOTIONS
Promotions can be earned by completing the following actions on more than one occasion: - Being active (patrolling) - Attending and doing well in trainings - Being recommended by someone higher ranked - Doing well at London
Attempting to bribe someone for a recommendation will result in immediate exile.
SECTION IX - FIREARMS
- Only members of SCO19 are allowed to use firearms on duty. - If you're not in SCO19 and you own a firearm, you are only allowed to use it in extreme circumstances of self defence.
Any use of firearms by non-AFOs in a case that is not self defence will result in demotion.
By following everything detailed in this handbook, you should be successful in The Metropolitan Police Service.
Enjoy your time here.
Signed,
The Right Honourable Josh Hyde MP Police Commissioner of the Metropolis Member of Parliament for North Swindon |

| ^ If PCSOs had tasers, then London would be out of hand. Anybody can just join the Met instantly as a PCSO, and giving them tasers would result in trigger happy noobs running around. Besides, the job of a PCSO is to support the community and help civilians verbally. |

But my question is: When you say demotion, how do you demote an in-training? Will he get demoted to pending?

| ^ If by 'in-training' you mean a PCSO, that PCSO would likely be exiled. |

Versous, sorry forthe late reply. 'In-training' is the start rank in SCO19 meaning they cannot use firearms unless in self defence. Unless they get demoted to pending.
