@jagaimo it's a program that tries to make schools and a special few kids focus on science, technology, engineering, and math; hence S.T.E.M, basically trying to make more engineers. but it slowly tries to make history, arts, music, etc not taught. |

Ok yes that's the one problem I have I dont like common core all that much, but I went through it in the IB program in middle school. I decided to discontinue IB because I didnt feel like it would be my thing |

| I don't mind the fact of the ignoring the arts since I was always intrigued more by math or science. However, I do not appreciate the fact that I am taking 3 APs this year. |

Your life must be so... boring. Drab and colorless. Other adjectives I can't be bothered to type.
In other words: Be a well-rounded individual okay. pick up some kind of artistic hobby, like writing or painting or music or something. You'll be a happier person. |

Spot on you are, problem is I'm just too lazy of a person to do anything else besides the necessary. I have been trying to learn how to make and edit videos though if that counts for anything. |

"so you can't be interested in math or science and be happy? that's so flawed i cant even"
You need to pay more attention in English class, brah. Maybe you'd know how to read a bit better. Either that or you are pretending to misunderstand me, something I cannot rule out.
I never said being interested in science and math was a bad thing. If you have no artistic inclinations towards any form of media in addition to that, however, your life is more boring than mine.
A boring life led may as well not have happened at all. |

There is nothing necessarily wrong with an initial STEM program.
You can acquire knowledge of STEM aspects such as logic and experiment with it in an artistic manner later.
Specialization does not equal exclusion. |

| Our middle school had a stem program, we did pretty basic things such as making card houses, rubber band cars, roller coasters from golf balls (mine was the tallest), and stuff like that. It was fun. Over the summer I took a two week course in trade school, which is similar to STEM. My high school has an entire wing for trade, with things like a mechanic' s garage, restaurant ran by students, other cool things |
