but a ladder could easily fall apart or rust
not to mention you would have to be in a close proximity to the wall
while the ladder could theoretically be built (but with heavy casualties), climbing the latter, followed by crossing a heavily-fortified wall, would probably be like trying to cross a road where there is a car coming at 200 miles per hour every 1/10th of a second |
