no one thought gary cahill would ever be an england defender either....
also i've actually watched west ham play 10-15 times last season and jenkinson was constantly in their top 2-4 players for each one. if he can develop more and he can become a rb for england. |

Jenkinson has hugely improved since I first saw him in his first season for Arsenal (his positioning was atrocious at times). I still think Clyne will get the nod at England's first choice right back but Jenkinson has enough potential to fill in as back up, especially if Glen Johnson can be England's first choice right back for so long.
Chambers will probably end up playing centre back in the future anyway.

yeah i think everyone here forgot about clyne. he already is first choice rb for england but jenkinson can be a very, very good backup.

agreed and it's where wenger's been playing him mostly anyway so of course jenkinson is a better right back.
