| reddit usually tosses around a college textbook website where you can rent used textbooks for a couple semesters for a huge markoff the price of a new textbook, i'll see if i can find that if you need it |

best thing to do with a textbook is google the ISBN number and see what textbook rental website gives it for the cheapest price and is reputable |

as far as books im definitely renting
school supplies i basically already have saved from over the year
if you have a laptop then life is good
make sure you know what is in your dorm... like all the dorms at MTSU have a kitchen on each floor, so i probably won't bring a microwave or fridge.. and stuff like that

I have a dell laptop that works fine.
Also your school might offer you microsoft office for free (a&m-cc did for me), so hold up on buying it until you know for sure.
As for textbooks sometimes you may only need to use it 1-3 times, your professor can't tell you in person but if you shoot them a message they might tell you how important it is. This lesson saved me $200 in textbooks. |
