10 years before you're were born, in 1988 the poised Fiji squad, while in their home turf defeat the World Cup ready Australian national team 1-0 in the first leg of qualification. Your father, Vimal Sami played in that match and helped lead to the only goal. He have helped you become very good and now it is your time to try make the national team.
You recall reading an article that explained what an Australian player thought of they're practice field before the historic upset and he said it "[Had} frogs everywhere. You’d be running and you’d hear a squelch, and that would mean you’ve killed a frog. The second thing was that there were thousands of people there, but it wasn’t actually a stadium. There were hundreds of people in these trees, hanging off the trees. It was a very unusual setting with the frogs, and people hanging out of trees.”
You realise making the team won't be with such bad conditions, because soccer players are treat as royalty in Fiji, just not for the opposing team. You can't dream too much though, you have an open squad tryout for the U20 team tomorrow
Do you:
A. ask your father about the field conditions before the historic match B. just give a laugh and start practicing on the street with your deflated beat up ball |

You bring your ball outside, after working in farm all day with little to eat you're very tired. However you know you must practice. You know you can have a good lifestyle if you should make the national team and play in Fiji's elite league one day, but you can't get ahead of yourself.
You start dribbling around for a while. You get some good foot work in and at sunset, you check on the crops. It is around bed time and you decide to see if any of the 1 pound chicken was left. It appears the family of 7 has already ate it without you.
You can:
A go near the forest at the edge of Labasa and get some coconuts B go to sleep, thinking rest will help you more than the food for tomorrow |

after a 20 minute walk you arrive and has chopped down a few coconuts and also find a few bananas you steal from a commercial plantation, as your grandfather did back in 1960s. You feel refreshed, as if you full in energy. You walk home with little trouble and decide to go to sleep.
You wake up the next morning, shake by your youngest sister, Kunthi asking for food, while also did what she told you, to wake him up to he wouldn't miss tryouts. It's time to leave after you have some of your paddy rice
it is 11:45 and the tryout at the main pitch in Labasa starts at 1, you should go
You can:
A. Walk there, it would take about 45 minutes once you get into the main part of town B. use the rest of you're Fiji $ on a bus ticket that arrives at 12. |

You board the bus, and you move out of the rural area to the main part of the city. You look out the window and drive by your old secondary school and at iconic place in town. You arrive fairly close to the pitch at 12:10
You see not only the U20 coach , Ravinesh Kumar their. some players have already arrived, obviously from the airport as not everyone was from Labasa like you. Then you see tons of scouts in the stands. Coaches and scouts from Ba FC, Suva, Nadi, Labasa, your dream of play for Labasa in Fiji's top league. Many players have already introduced themselves to some of the scouts.
you walk on the pitch and a director says you can warmup with a ball
You can:
A. do some touches like yesterday B. mingle with some familiar guys you knew from secondary school at entrance of the pitch

To start the session, the coach conducts drills and tells assistants to group players into 4 for a series of mini-drills. While you played Midfield for your school, you are tried at every position except goalie. one of the assistants seems impressed with your striking ability.
After the tryouts players are funneled off the pitch. After, the Labasa and Suva scout both interview you to get an understanding of you. You will find out if you made U20 next week after more scouting reports are happened
FC Labasa says they will get back to you within the next week and are debating whether or not to add you to the squad FC Suva asks if you can join the team as a Midfielder and potentially striker, paying you a decent salary for a U20 player
You can:
A. Wait a week to see if Labasa wants you- you've always want to play infront of your people B. Accept the Suva offer, knowing you'll play in the city's capital under a big spotlight |

You happily sign a contract with Suva and as a sign bonus you get a decent sized house (to fiji standards). You fly in for a session and about a week later the U20 coach gives you a call
he says "hello mr. sami you have earned a spot on Fiji U20 national team. We will mix you in at midfield and possibly striker. welcome to the team."
You thank him, your first match is in 2 weeks against Vanuatu
You can:
A. Talk to your father, ask for advice as he was on the U20 team before B. Go to downtown and see whats up |
