| I'm an Atheist and I wish for a polite discussion why you think this, I wish to debate with you. |

| @Vekt, I usually fail to carry a conversation on with your kind once you tell me you're an atheist. It's the same things with grays. |

I don't like atheists because I think their opinion is rooted in hatred towards religion. I am personally agnostic. |

"just like grays"
>>>>>> get out <<<<<<<
" I think their opinion is rooted in hatred towards religion."
No, proper Atheists who form debates with religious folk actually pull up contextual facts from the religious book that's at hand.

| I am not disgusted by them, I just dislike most of them because they do not realize that the majority of the human race believed that religion was truth for thousands of years. While I do respect science's train of thought, I don't think that I can say for sure that science is correct, and I think assuming that is something highly ignorant to do. |

| I do not harbor ill feelings or any hatred towards religion, I just see it as a way to deal with the uncertainty of death without any scientific facts backing it. |

trusting science which is based on facts and evidence is ignorant but believing in a religion that's based on a fictional book someone wrote with no evidence at all isn't?
you make me laugh

| Many people thought - think - that religion is just as valid as science. If you look at it in abstraction, science is just as much of a belief as religion is. I respect your opinion, but I think that we can learn from history that we should be uncertain about these things. |

Just because you follow the logic of science doesn't mean that religion is wrong. Aristotle thought that things had natural resting places, and that is why they went where they did. He was wrong, but it is logically sound. Why else would something move in a certain direction? |

"I think assuming that is something highly ignorant to do."
[trigger warning] [ignoramus warning] [hypocrite warning] [idiot warning]
That entire sentence is ignorant in itself, saying that "assuming" science is entirely correct is ignorant is like m saying "well assuming that there is an invisible being in the bloody sky is ignorant"
Damn idiots.

No. Someone who supports religion has many reasons to do so. If you assume that God is true - as you assume that scientific facts are true - then you will reach the same conclusion. Everything works out if you think about it scientifically or religiously. |
