''An HR''
''An'' comes before vowels, which are: A,E,I,O,U
Why do people say ''An HR''
It makes no sense but like 70% of people say it...

because they say it at individual letters
they use an because the letter H starts with a vowel sound
like how you would say "an Xbox" |

Damien it depends on how you say it.
Some literally say "an HR", and since "H" kinda starts with like an A or an E it sounds better, but if you said "an High Rank", no that's wrong. |

if someone said "an HR" anywhere else on roblox, it would make sense because anywhere else, it can stand for something else where people would read it as aitch are
but on roblox, HR stands for high rank
when you guys see HR, your mind reads HIGH RANK, not aitch are
that's my argument there

"An HR" on paper does not look grammatically whatsoever, but it sounds correct if you think about it.
"An (ayy-ch)(arr)" sounds correct because it is correct. The letter "H" itself begins with a long A-sound. You would put the article "an" before any word that begins with a vowel-sounding sound. The letter "H" begins with a vowel-sounding sound, so it would make sense to precede it with "an".
You are most likely thinking of what HR stands for rather than its literal pronunciation. HR stands for "high rank" and in any situation, "a high rank" is definitely the correct answer, rather than "an high rank". However, others see "HR" more literally and use "an" to correspond with its literal pronunciation: (ayy-ch)(arr). |

it comes down to sound actually
an hr is more correct considering "hr" is pronounced "ay ch arr"
for example you'd say "an ace" rather than "a ace"
// beautiful morning, you're the sun in my morning babe, nothing unwanted... |
