I've written down some various ideas for one and I've written a little bit of a backstory as well. I just don't know if the RP forum is down for one of these roleplays, though. It's been a long time since I've seen a successful one. So tell me, would you be willing to join one were the circumstances right?
Sidenote, the infection is a parasite that has connected with the neural pathways of its hosts after some incredibly fast genetic mutations. In short, once the host dies from the numerous side effects the parasite inflicts, it takes control of the brain, making it search for other sources of food.
So, answer the subject question and tell me if you think this sort of "strain," sounds tangible and interesting. |

| Given the fact that people liked Silentium (semi-Zombie apocalypse RP), I would say we are interested in a Zombie RP. It would just have to be well written of course, with enough detail to fully realize the world. |

| I haven't seen a zombie apocalypse RP in a while, and I've never joined one. I am up for this. Maybe even a collaboration? |

| I've only seen four zombie roleplays for the 3-4 years I've been here. |

It's going to be something that I'll write for the most part. Lego's gonna edit and give feedback on it before it gets posted though.
So, collaboration is off the table. |

@Jake
I love zombies, I was currently already working on a Post Apocalyptic ISRP/Multi-ISRP.
I'm just gonna hold off on posting it and wait for yours.

The strain consists of bacteria with similar and even exact properties to E. coli and a kind of protozoa. First the E. coli massively weakens the immune system and inflicts damage upon the internal organs, while the protozoa travels up the spine via bone marrow to the brain, initiating the main infection and turning the person into one of the undead.
Eh? |

@Jake
So are you doing it like Walking Dead kind of undead? Like World War Z? Or are we talking about the Strain kind. But those are more King Vampire > Vampire Type 1 > Vampire Type 2 > Type 1 Zombie > Type 2 Zombie?
Because depending on the one you can do, It will decide if I post the one I am working on already.

Jake, I'm just gonna be honest here and say that it's kinda cliché. But if that's what you were going for, then it's fine. Don't let me intrude. Plus, I'd still like it if I could join and if this was made and stuff...
Also, were you talking with Lego when you brought it up or something? How did he get to help out? |

I always like the idea of sentient infections. Though that more or less means alien parasites, rather than just a typical killing infection. Basically, just something where you can't really tell right away if someone is infected/under control or not. |

| Wouldn't necessarily be a blood born disease, thus no biting. More of behavioral differences; Aliens don't know how a normal human behaves. |

@Ryker
Those recently infected will be able to run and scale obstacles while those that have been infected long term will be slower and be unable to scale obstacles and the likes.
I'm also thinking about adding a sort of "zit," zombie. Gas has basically built up within it to the point where a bullet or blade would practically make it explode. I'm reckoning this would attract zeds from all around.
@Happy
That's just a basic premise, it's going to be fleshed out a lot more, and it already has to be honest.
Lego's making an ISRP and I'm making a roleplay. We both needed a peer to edit our work so we're basically exchanging favors. |

@Jake
If I post mine would that in any way offend you/be a problem?
Or should I just not post it and make a different one?

I see. Lego makes too many ISRP's----*gets shot*
But seriously, I get it now. The 'zit' idea seems cool as well. May I suggest a feature that the virus has?
If I can, then basically it works like this: if someone who had extremely good athletic abilities and was a runner or racer before they were infected, maybe they demonstrated those properties as a member of the infected? |

Ever watch Futurama? What about the kind of parasite that Fry gets? They improve his capabilities from the inside, making Fry a lot more athletic, strong, even smarter. Though they weren't necessarily controlling him. |

This'll be posted in two weeks probably. I'll be gone on a cruise starting the 19th. It's a four night cruise but I'll probably be chilling with family for a little while longer than that.
I just realized this, so sorry about not previously mentioning it. |
