What sounds are you referring to?
I don't really have a taste, if I find it catchy, I like it. (I'm mostly old fashioned though)

ok 1. i don't really think theres anything wrong with using electronic things as instruments. my favourite band has some electronic stuff out, and i like the crap out of it. 2. i hear you on this one holy #### some of that #### is so annoying 3. i hate the message of 99% of pop songs as well 4. unpopular opinion but as long as they sound good in the studio i don't mind it. i can like their music without respecting them as a great musician. some bands i like aren't the best live, but i love their studio work so it's okay. i respect talented musicians though. if you want to see some of the best instrumentalists of all time look up Instrumedley - Dream Theater. it's insane and live.
