I've always tried to comprehend how people learned scripting. I would look at video tutorials, and go into studio and mess around with random scripts. I even looked into games and found clan guns lying around in uncopylocked places.
But I still don't fully understand how scripting works. It's like I look at it and it reminds me of math and how I have trouble with that as well.
If you are a scripter, what worked for you when it came to learning how to script? Thank you.

| What worked for me is giving up a lot and coming back to it a year later. Something I noticed is that as I got older it came a lot easier, and I actually developed a big interest in it compared to when I just started watching tutorial videos. I also tended to stay with it for longer periods of time as I came back to it more and more. |

I started to understand once I decided I wanted to learn because I was interested, and not because I thought I 'needed' to.

| Then again, that's just me. Everyone's different, and I'm lazy when it comes to learning new skills. |
