| Since there's no new game this year, where do you think the location will be next year? I'm seeing rumors about Ancient Egypt. |

| they're not making one this year? Good, the last few have been god awful. It'd be nice to have it in the new colonies in the 1700-1800s |

Wouldn't ancient Egypt be a bit out of place?
I mean the enemy of the games is the Knights Templar and they don't exist till the crusades. |

Pretty sure everyone still has high hopes for China.
Yeah, one of those Chronicle ones took place there, but it's a sidescroller, so. |

China would be pretty cool.
I've always wanted a revisit to the Middle East tbh.
I really loved the setting of the first game with the Saracens and crusaders fighting each other, it felt like you were in the middle of an actual war and the other games I never really felt it. |

Maybe it'll take place during the Spanish Inqusition, just like the movie. It'll be even more unexpected.
@StraitOutBoston
Seems unlikely that they'll do the same time/area twice, but you never know. |

I think we had Italy twice with Ezio.
Maybe Spain during the reconquista?
I imagine there'd be a few Templars fighting there. |

Hm, yeah, guess they did do that with Ezio. But then, it was Ezio, and he was like their best plan for the series.
When I think about it, I don't know too many big historical times periods, heh. |

@matthew
They already did that in Assassin's Creed III. From 1754 the start of the French and Indian War to 1783, the end of the American Revolution. |

Honestly, the more modern it went, the more it got bad, AC1/2/3 were good, 4 wasn't bad, but then we can say the cancer started.

@ralley
Unity wasn't bad to me either, and I really liked the time period since it was the French Revolution. Syndicate went a little far in time (1868) but was actually pretty good.
I remember Ubisoft said they would never do Assassin's Creed in WWII and such since that would be too far in time. |

AC was all about killing Templars, it was weird when the templars were rare in some of the games, and the weirder is how in Unity the main character literally fell in love with a Templar.

They should do it in the Korean War!
Maybe a M*A*S*H themed one!
Or maybe they can do it in a small town in the united states and do an Andy Griffith Show themed game! |
