Introduction:

These are the official rules/guidelines of the Alaska Fire and Rescue use Department. These rules are to be followed by ALL members of the AFD. If not followed there will be strict punishments enforced. ALL members are to read this forum fully and study it well. If studied and analyzed it will make your time in the AFD much easier and fun.

[WIP] This list of rules and guidelines are not fully complete. There will be more things added over time.
(Leave a reply on any ideas you have so we can add or change things on this list.)

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Rules:

1- All rules on this list are to be followed by ALL members at ALL times.

2- You are to follow all the Laws given by the Alaskan Government.

3- At Anchorage you are to be mature and be on your best behavior at ALL times.

4- You are to respect your fellow AFD members and higher ranks.

5- No profanity or inappropriate jokes or sayings allowed. Including racist sayings.

6- Trainees may NOT drive ANY vehicle.

7- When on call you are to ALWAYS listen the highest rank there and do ONLY what they say you are not to go off and do your own thing.

8- When going to a call the highest rank there will assign you what role and vehicle you will be taking, again you are not to do what you want.

9- You are not to leave the station without a reasonable purpose. (Obviously you can leave for calls.)

10- You can not change your rank position/role the only way is by asking a HR or them ordering you to. Example: When at Anchorage say your rank is Firefighter but then you go out with a EMS helmet and uniform, that is not allowed. Again if you want a rank change PM or ask a HR with a good reason. You can not just change your roles because you want to.

11- The ambulance is to stay in the garage at ALL times. Unless a call comes in needing the ambulance. (This is because the ambulance can glitch out a lot causing huge crashes.)

12- When at Anchorage you are to have the right uniform and helmet. You are only allowed one piece of hair including your helmet.

13- You are to respect all citizens and law enforcement. EVEN the meanest and most disrespectful people you still have to respect them and react calmly.

14- You are NOT allowed to allow any civilians into the Station at all. (For safety reasons.)

15- Keep the garage door closed at all times. When leaving to a call you are to close the door behind you.

16- You are NOT at to act like a law enforcement officer. (Let the officers do their job.)

----

Guidelines:

It is REQUIRED for ALL members of the AFD to read these guidelines and study them. It will enhance your time with the AFD and your time at Anchorage.

Step 1- When first getting on Anchorage you are to take out you radio and state that you are on duty. This is an example of what you would say on the radio: “AFD AFR-(NUMBER) 10-8”. You are then to check in with the HR there are any other AFD members on duty.

Step 2- After going on duty you are to go to the lockers located behind the vehicles and get the correct uniform for the job for your rank.

Step 3- Then you are to go room with the helmets and take a helmet depending on your rank depending on the job you are doing at that time.

Step 4- You are to stay at the station and wait for calls. Just relax and wait. (DO NOT OPEN THE DOORS FOR ANY CIVILIANS.) You are not to leave the station and wonder. If you would like on the radio you could say: “AFD Available for Calls” just to get the attention of any people who are willing to role-play.

Step 5- (REMEMBER YOU ARE TO LISTEN TO ANY HR'S ORDERS THERE DONT DO WHAT YOU WANT) You are to go to the HR there they will tell you what to do. Not following there orders will result in serious punishment. Once a call is received you are to first say on the radio: “AFR-(NUMBER) Responding Code-(The appropriate code for that call.)” You are then to take the correct vehicle to respond to the scene. If the ambulance is needed you must be very careful when driving it because it is VERY fragile. Make sure to close the garage door behind you!!

Step 6- (REMEMBER YOU ARE TO LISTEN TO ANY HR'S ORDERS THERE DONT DO WHAT YOU WANT) When at the scene you are to first go to the HR or CO there and wait for orders to be given. Not following orders will result in serious punishments. Talk to the law enforcement officer(s) there and ask what has happened. After speaking to the officer(s) you are to then speak to the victim(s)/patients(s) and tend to their wounds. You are to provide first aid on scene and do the correct procedures needed for that situation. If needed you are to bring the victim(s)/patients(s) to the hospital.

[MEDICAL CALL RELATED] Step 7- When arriving at the hospital you are to direct the victim(s)/patient(s) to a room. Once in the room the call is over. This is because of the lack of a Hospital group. You are then to tell the victim(s)/patients(s) that they can leave and that the RP is over.

[FIRE CALL RELATED] Step 7- (REMEMBER YOU ARE TO LISTEN TO ANY HR'S ORDERS THERE DONT DO WHAT YOU WANT) You are to listen to the HR orders there. They will tell you what to do. First depending on your role during that call [Firefighter-Role] Are to listen the the highest rank there. After being told what to do you are to do that task as quickly and efficiently as possible. You are to clear the WHOLE building leave not one spot unseen. If there are any hurt civilians you are to follow the step above. You are then to follow any orders from any HR's there. [Paramedic/EMS] Look at the steps above.

Step 8- You are to get back to your vehicle. BEFORE entering the vehicle you are to say on the radio: “AFR-(NUMBER) Code 4, Returning to Station.” Once that is said you are to head back to the station and correctly park your vehicle. Take off all your gear.

Step 9- Restart the whole process and don’t forget to stay active and have fun!
