the one with the weird U shape
there used to be an airlines called continental, they were friends so as besties they decided to merge and united kept the name, and continental kept the logo, so the logo that united uses now used to be continental's.. how nice :)

the reason they merged was because Delta merged with their friend named Northwest airlines and they became a HUGE airlines with millions of destinations after their merge, so to compete, united and continental, which were both huge, decided to merge to compete with them

continental was stuck in some control by northwest and delta since they were hostile takeover bidding to conquest the entire Continental airlines, which gave northwest the ability to veto any merging that continental does, so continental had no choice but join SkyTeam, an airline alliance that delta and northwest were in, so once northwest merged with delta in the future, the restrictions on Continental were taken off so Continental left Skyteam and joined the other alliance United was in and they slowly started working until they merged together, then continental seemed to people as if it just disappeared but in fact it was just a part of united
airlines are like wars it's strange
