You don't need an entire place to just rally people at, especially if it's for something like a defense.
Just rally at your fort or training place or whatever |

Are you the old Valor Legion leader? If so then this thread makes a lot more sense to me because who else would make such a invalid point.
Training centers servers are around 30-40 size.
Forts are balanced, 20-30.
And then for a rally, you would probably want as many spaces as possible to have as many soldiers as possible, wouldn't you?! That would make sense! Wouldn't it?! Of course it does, what is this post. |

"i usually rally @ training center and let them fight a round"
I have always liked the idea of adding dueling arenas at rally points. |

I highly doubt most of your clans could even rally above 30 people so I don't see any problem.
And if you don't want to rally at a fort do it at a training place. |

So if your base is 20 server size, and your training place is 30
What do you do when you are doing an invasion where you may get 100?
You're done for. | +2,399 posts on SelSlayer |

Lag I'm in SC and the amount it gets now is nothing compared to what it used to get.
The most I've seen current SC rally is about 40 at a time. |

Excuse me but this isn't 2011.
AI rallied 50 in under 10 minutes the other day and gets 30 on a unplanned raid in under 10 minutes.
And if you can't notice, I'm in VAC.
We rally 60 in under 5 minutes on an unplanned raid.
What are you saying??? |

@Do1, not all training centers are 30-40 max servers. I honestly don't see how the counter rebuttal that you're trying to provide us makes any sense.
Connor is right. You don't need an entirely different place just to rally at. All you really need to do is rally at your training center because then you can load maps to practice/warm up on as everyone waits around.
If you rally at your fort for a defense, you can provide your members that may be a bit newer with a fort tour. Ezpz.
No matter what, whether it be a training center or a rally area, you're going to need to teleport your members. Why not rally at a place where your members don't need to be completely bored out of their mind and instead, practicing while enjoying the sweet sensation of a good adrenaline rush?

@Xx
Not going to read that whole thing but again,
Is your fort or training center's servers 60-?
I hope not. |

And sorry but how do you get bored at a rally.
Hop on a TS3 and socialize.
Or hey just socialize in game.
Or hey! You're at a >RALLY< give a briefing of the fort your raiding or your plan.

@head, oh yes. But those forts that have a built in training center never look too nice. The ones with a little rally point are okay though.
Plus, having a few places that are diverse brings a sense of fresh air to the group. It's kind of boring to go to the same place for a training, rally, and defense each time.

the only logical reason i can see why you'd rally at a fort is to encourage raiders
and if you're trying to rally, why the hell would you want to be raided?
and what if you're already being raided and you want to rally at to defend? |

@xx
You're contradicting yourself, you say having diversity is good, and that seeing the same place over and over is stale. But then you say to have a training center and a fort in the same place?! You make no sense. |

this is the most invalid argument i've ever heard
aside from all the points that have already been made, i've seen rally centers where there are small arenas for the troops to fight in until the operation leader calls everyone in for a debrief.

@do1, when I go to a rally, that's my chance to go get some food and take a dump tbh.
You can do the exact same thing in a rally at a training center. The biggest differences are that you get to warm up and have fun while doing it. You can still hop onto ts3 and socialize all you want. When its close to the time that you're going to raid/defend, the trainer can stop the fighting and explain the fort situation (WHILE STILL CHATTING ON TS3. MUCH WOW. REVOLUTIONARY. INNOVATIVE. SUCH WOW).
Your server thing still kind of confuses me. We all know that theres a max of 50 people on game servers nowadays (except for the weird, very few 100 server ones). Not everyone will get into the raid or defense when teleported. So they'll have to pend. If there's a full rally server and it creates a new server, that's when another HR hops into the second server to debrief the stragglers and then teleport them. |
