i disagree lego
sharking is how you profit drastically there is nothing wrong with doing that
scamming is how you steal an item giving practically nothing in return

scam skam/Submit nouninformal 1. a dishonest scheme; a fraud. "an insurance scam" synonyms: fraud, swindle, fraudulent scheme, racket, trick; More
Sharking is dishonesty, it's also fraud, trick. You're also swindling them out of value.
Falls directly under the definition of a scam, therefore it is.

there is a very fine line between the two; easily crossed by anyone, even with the best intentions

sharking to me is where ppl post a or d threads and the sender gets all their friends to tell the person to accept the trade when they lose
being bias with values isn't rly sharking |

i consider sharking scamming but there is a line
like sharking is overvaluing and making profit so person A "sharks" person B person B unknowingly accepts but bases it off person A's value of said item
but scamming is taking/stealing so person A takes from person B person B knows he's doing a deal, but person A takes from them
the difference is sharking person B doesn't know he's losing a lot but in scamming he knows he could, basically just how much they kno

lego it's more along the lines of:
Biased - "My item is worth more than that, I'd say it's worth about 450k, rather than 400k"
Sharking - "My item is 450k, not 400k, you'd be winning 50k if you take this deal right now"
the sharking part adds on the additional persuasive part

honestly tho bias is only of people who know values
sharking happens to people who don't
we only notice bias because we all know how mcuh items really are

Being bias isn't sharking LOL nor is overvaluing.
Sharking is when you get your friends to post "A" on A/D threads involving your own trade and creating bogus values and lie for you in order for you to profit. Scamming doesn't always mean that you stole something from someone without them getting anything in return either.
